Halloween is not an event traditionally associated with Korea, yet its popularity in the country seems to increase every year, especially in Itaewon, central Seoul.
With the rapid gentrification of the foreigner-centric area over the past few years, and the rising popularity of international club culture in Seoul, venues are adopting Halloween to attract a growing number of Koreans who want to let off steam by dressing up in costumes for the evening.
Anyone taking a trip down Itaewon Street on Oct. 26, the Saturday before Halloween, would have been greeted with packed crowds of both foreigners and Koreans wearing outfits that ranged from Wonder Woman and Elvis to vampires and witches

BTS, Bangtan Boys
What made K-Pop nation truly exciting? It is when a boy group cross dresses as a girl. Just like what happened recently to rookie boy group BTS.
BTS took on the gender-bender test by dressing in female outfits and anime costumes. I mean it's hilarious right? It is for the boys' reality show but I must say they were good in imitating females. BTS uploaded these behind the scene photos on their official Facebook page.

"Can you hear the sound of your dreams coming true?" reads the engraving on my iPod, the one that houses all of my music, K-pop and not. And I ponder each musician, once a dreamer who only really wanted to share their music. When I think of this, I remember that it's quite the same road for everyone even in the glitzy and fast world of K-pop. Behind the neon lights and colorful costumes and elegant stages are dreamers.
In K-pop, there is a trend with audition stars rising to the top. Rigged or not, Busker Busker's recent dynamite showing in the chart is due in part to their having participated in an audition show, wherein once they obeyed albeit allegedly blindly, just because they will do anything that will get them closer to their dreams
UVUV "No Way Can't Be"
UV have been a hit since they first debuted in 2010 with the EP Do You Want to Be Cool?
But unlike other K-Pop acts in the biz, they are parody singers.
In their singles, the pair, comprised of comedian Yoo Se Yoon and High Syde's Muzi, take on different genres with cleverly worded lyrics, ridiculous costumes, and awesomely cheesy music videos.
Their latest feat, "No Way Can't Be" is their first attempt at making a 'slow jam'.It also features the vocal stylings of singer Ha Dong Kyun.
The song and video are, as expected, full of quirky sexual innuendos and tongue and cheek lyrics.
For example, the chorus repeats "bo-ji-ma" and "ja-ji-ma" or "don't look" and "don't sleep," however, "bo-ji" and "ja-ji" just happen to be the Korean words for 'vagina' and 'penis'
Lee Jung Hyun, the always changing and innovative K-Pop diva, recently made her return to the stage after three years with the new track “V” and a music video directed by Park Chan Wook (“Old Boy”) and his brother Park Chan Kyung. Staying true to the style of both the Park brothers and Lee Jung Hyun, the music video was unusual and distinctive, telling a complete story that is hard to come by in many of the current K-Pop music videos out there.
Lee Jung Hyun not only brings a unique style to her costumes and songs, but also to her dance. Through the dance version music video of “V,” fans will be able to focus on the Lee Jung Hyun’s ability to take on many different images on the stage, from cute to powerful, scary to sexy.

On July 8, Hyoyeon made an appearance on Mnet’s variety talk program “Beatles Code 2” where she shared the difficulties she faced after joining popular idol group Girls’ Generation.
She began, “Before my debut, I learned powerful dances that require big movements compared to after debut when I had to wear girlish concept costumes and dance. It was difficult.”
She continued, “However, because I thought that all nine of us have to be in harmony, I tried really hard to not stand out and to become part of the team.”
Hyoyeon revealed her dancing potential in the past. “It was about six or seven years ago. I got to perform as a guest at a big popping dance festival. I even got to the semi-finals in a battle competition
