The Sunday Social: 1/12, Idols' private/public lives

The Sunday Social: 1/12, Idols’ private/public lives Happy Sunday again everybody. This week we heard some tragic news regarding Leeteuk’s dad and grandparents, and it brings up the question of how K-celebrities’ lives should be reported by the media. At first it seemed like there was a lot of jumping the gun from Korean media about the deaths and led to a lot of rumors, which seemed obtrusive enough that even SM Entertainment had to release a statement to try to quash some of them. What’s your take on the situation? Is a celebrity’s life — no matter how public or private — fair game because they knew what they were getting into? Or is there a line can’t be crossed? And if yes, how do we decide what that line is? Heavy food for thought on a Sunday. (Image via SM Entertainment)
