JYJ Voted #1 in “Idol Group to Stay Active After 10 Years”

Group JYJ was voted as the number one idol group to stay active after 10 years.

In the DC Inside (www.dcinside.com) survey titled "Idol Group to Stay Active After 10 Years", JYJ received 1,215 votes (40.1%) out of 3,029 total votes. JYJ is a three-member group formed by the ex-members of TVXQ consisting of Jaejoong, Yoochun, and Junsu. They have remained active with music performances, musicals, dramas, and movies.

In second place, TVXQ received 504 votes (16.6%). TVXQ was newly banded with the remaining two members Yunho and Changmin. Big Bang followed with 188 votes (6.2%)in third place, closely followed by Shinhwa, SHINee, INFINITE, and B1A4.

Fans Choose Which Male Idol Groups Are the Most Likely to Still be Together in 10 Years

An online community portal site, DC Inside (dcinside.com), conducted a survey from March 18 to March 25 asking, “Which male idol group do you think is most likely to be together and actively promoting in the next 10 years?”

The results showed JYJ in the No. 1 spot with 40.1% of the votes (1,215 votes out of 3,029 votes). JYJ is consists of Kim Jaejoong, Park Yoochun, and Kim Junsu, who formed a trio in after leaving the five-member group, TVXQ, which debuted in 2009. All of the members have been promoting individually through solo albums, starring in musicals, dramas, and films.

Another group that made it on the list was TVXQ with 504 votes (16.6%). The five-member group became a duo in 2011 with U-Know Yunho and Max Changmin as the remaining members

YG WINNER TV Receives 10 M Views on China Youku Site, ‘Global Idols’

Group WINNER has been receiving much attention in China since before their debut.

On February 5, YG Entertainment stated, "Rookie group WINNER"s debut project show, "WINNER TV" has reached 10 million views on China"s Youku video site."

Previously on there survival audition program, "WIN: Who is Next," they received 1 million views or more for each episode, showing their popularity.

"WINNER TV," which began last December, has also been receiving around a million views each episode.

This show has currently released 8 episodes and showcases the groups preparations for their album as well as a look into their daily lives.

On the other hand, they have 2 episodes left until the show ends. This show airs every Friday through Mnet.

‘Super Idol Chart Show’ ranks the top 10 ‘best visual male idols’

The January 31st episode of Mnet"s "Super Idol Chart Show" ranked the top 10 "best visual male idols"!



Super Junior"s Siwon made the top of the list, and host Ryeowook commented, "Siwon hyung was an impressive person. I never knew. I"m in a good mood because he"s my member." He then called Siwon, who said, "Thank you. There are a lot of people who are way more cool than I am, so thank you. If I had to give some advice, be careful of Ryeowook. He"s a scary person."

53 Korean idol groups, including TVXQ and Girls’ Generation, have been nominated for the Hallyu 10th Anniversary Japanese Music Awards

 

The Hallyu 10th Anniversary Japanese Music Awards, which will be held in Chiba, Japan, on October 9, will feature 53 Korean idol groups. According to Oricon, the awards ceremony will take place at the International Convention Hall in Chiba. The organizing committee for the event will hold a poll from the 22nd to the 30th of September for boy bands, girl groups, and female and male soloists in order to choose the top five in each category.

 

The nominees for the boy band category total 33, including Infinite, Ajax, EXO, Epic High, FT Island, MBLAQ, CN Blue, JYJ, SHINee, SHU-I, SHinhwa, Super Junior, ZE:A, Choshinsung, Teen Top, 2AM, 2PM, TVXQ, NU’EST, B.A.P, B2ST, B1A4, Big Bang, VIXX, Boyfriend, and U-Kiss.

 

The girl group category has a total of 20 nominees, including Jewelry, After School, A Pink, f(x), Girl’s Day, Kara, Secret, Sistar, Girls’ Generation, Davichi, Dalshabet, T-ara, 2NE1, 4Minute, Brown Eyed Girls, Miss A, Rainbow, and the Wonder Girls

110 idols face off for the title of best artist in the ‘Korean Art Idol Competition’

Over a hundred idols faced off against each other not on the music charts, but on MBC Every1‘s ‘Korean Art Idol Competition – Everyone Gather‘.

During the recent filming, Rainbow‘s Jaekyung, VIXX‘ Ken, CHI CHI‘s Shine, and BTOB‘s Hyunsik stood out from the crowd with their impressive artistry.

Twenty-three out of 110 idols will be able to move onto the final round, and the winner will be given a shot at an endorsement deal with a beverage brand.

TVXQ to celebrate 10 year anniversary this year, opened the doors for idols who followed

TVXQ debuted in back 2003, and they’ve come an incredibly long way.

The legendary group will be meeting their 10th anniversary this year in December, and now theboys men are more than just singers. Korean media outlet Newsen recently wrote an article chronicling how much the group has achieved over the years.

Yunho and Changmin have been active in both dramas and variety shows, and they’ve spread out from just Korea and Japan to all over the world.

Yunho has been sometimes criticized for his acting, but he showed much improvement in the recent drama, ‘Queen of Ambition‘. In the past, Changmin was never active in variety shows, but that’s changed recently and he has been a permanent panel member of ‘Moonlight Prince‘ and ‘Our Neighborhood Arts and Physical Education
