All the important Korean Entertainment news from this week in one place: This is your Weekly Soompi Roundup!
After the very busy and dramatic last week, it seems that things have somewhat quieted down in the K-Pop world.JYP Entertainment revealed how long each of their artists are signed on to the company for. It looks like 2015 will be an important year. A crazy “fan” ran on stage and tried to harass Crayon Pop’s ChoA. I don’t know, I feel like if you do something that frightens or endangers the singer, you lose your title of “fan.” Japanese media reported that Nicole will go back to the United States to study, but DSP was like “We found out about this when everyone else did.” This is the second time DSP was surprised by a report about Nicole
It all came down to sacrifice. How much each of them was willing to make for the other. If you listen carefully to their dialogue as they parted last night, line after line all you hear are words spoken for the other’s sake. He was willing to let her go just in case she could be rid of her ability. Just like Kim said, Joong Won is not someone who easily accepts another’s decision, but he did with Gong Sil – even though it meant his heart had to break just agreeing with her. To protect him, Gong Sil was willing to never see him again if she couldn’t get rid of her ability. When Joong Won stopped in the hall to say she didn’t tell him she loved him all the way till the end, I wanted to remind him she just did. The greatest sacrifice she made was not to chase after him and hold onto him. By not going after him, she was showing him how much she loved him
As far as harmless second leads goes, this one is a keeper. Kang Woo has been the epitome of a gallant knight short of a white steed. Somewhere along the way he transitioned from potential rival for Joong Won to her unobtrusive bodyguard. If Gong Sil was a radar for ghosts, he is one for the underdog. He stays quiet in the back till he is needed and swoops in to save the day and humbly steps away from his deserved limelight. He doesn’t need praise or applause since the only attention he seeks is Gong Sil’s so his heroism goes unnoticed. No matter what happens, Kang Woo will always continue to protect her, sacrificing his own happiness along the way to get it done. The most fuss he will throw is to scowl or make a fist whenever he has to speak up and say something that makes him lose even more ground with her than he already has. The best thing about him is that he really listens to Gong Sil and gives her room to breathe knowing full well she may never come to him cuz doing what’s best for her takes priority before his own feelings
Welcome to this week’s recap of the weekly music shows! KBS Music Bank aired footage from their show in Istanbul, Turkey while MBC Music Core went without rankings due to the recording for their free live concert at the Incheon Airport which meant all performances had been prerecorded. Teen Top took their third win for “Rocking” on MBC Music‘s Show! Champion while G-Dragon took it for “Black” on Mnet M! Countdown and SBS Inkigayo, with his other song, “Who You?” even coming in second on Inkigayo. Below are my favorites of the week, but don’t forget to comment with your own as well!
Ladies’ Code‘s “Pretty Pretty,” MBC Music Show! Champion, September 11, 2013

News breaks that Choi Yeon-ah is dating a successful executive who used to be a singer. A picture of Joon-ho is pathetically blurred
Time for the meddlesome second lead to take to the stage as Yeon-ah increases the "evil" factor 150%. There is some ridiculously cute Joon-ho and Soon-shin, but not enough to curve my rage at the meddling.
