Singer Shin Hae-chul suffered a massive heart attack on Wednesday night and fell into a coma after emergency surgery.
A spokesman for the Asan Medical Center said Thursday Shin arrived in the emergency room after receiving cardiopulmonary resuscitation. He was already unresponsive and had stopped breathing when he arrived.
“He was unable to regain consciousness after surgery and his pupils are not responding”, the spokesman added.
Doctors said Shin had a widespread infection in peritoneum and his intestine had already started narrowing. Air had flooded into his heart causing cardiac arrest. ...
