On April 15, Joo Won and the cast and staff of the upcoming musical, Ghost gathered at the Plaza Hotel in Seoul for the press conference.
After focusing on mainly dramas, Joo Won will be returning to his roots and appearing in a musical for the first in a very long time.
“The musical stage was my first stage as a professional and it is a place like home. All the seniors will know this, but I cannot completely explain the bliss or the memories that exist when standing on this stage,” said Joo Won.
Despite all his success in musicals and dramas, Joo Won surprisingly still went through the audition process

Joo Won begins official activities as the 2nd Bridal Mask in the latest episode of KBS2TV’s Bridal Mask, aired on June 27th. Lee Kang-to(Joo Won) releases Choil Bank President Cho Young-geun(Go In-bum) that he kidnapped the night before. Dropped off in the middle of a busy marketplace, Cho has the Bridal Mask’s warning mark on his body.
Seeing the warning mark, the angry mob starts to throw stones at Cho. Then, seeing the Bridal Mask standing on top of a roof, the mob stars to cheer seeing their hero that they thought had died, alive and well. The Japanese police aim their gun at the Bridal Mask, but the people block them, protecting their hero.
Kimura Shunji(Park Gi-woong) hears the news that the Bridal Mask lives and rushes out to find him, but he only sees his friend Lee Kang-to. Kang-to reprimands the police and acts like nothing has happened asking, “did the Bridal Mask appear?” fooling those around him
