Will JYJ singer and actor Park Yoochun be going to the Academy Awards next year? His first film “Sea Fog” might. On Sept. 19, the Korea Film Council selected “Sea Fog” as the nation”s entry for best foreign language film for the 87th Academy Awards.

“Out of 10 competitive films, “Sea Fog” was selected because the film had already received high acclaim at the recent Toronto Film Festival”s gala presentation,” said a Korean Film Council representative. “Also, as the film is based on a real-life event, it will be of great interest to the members of the Academy Awards.”...

2,000 Japan Fans Travel To Korea To See JYJ Jaejoong Film For Drama

2,000 fans from Japan flew to Korea in order to meet JYJ Jaejoong.

Jaejoong”s agency stated that starting from June 20, around 2,000 fans flew to Korea from Japan in order to meet him.

These fans came to Korea in order to to see the filming of Jaejoong”s drama, “Triangle,” and to attend events there. They also presented the drama staff with food as well.

They also held a small meeting with Jaejoong at a nearby stage and talked about the drama and different stories about what happened during filming....

Korean actress Bae Doona has already worked with “Matrix” producers Lana and Andy Wachowski twice and she is now in talks to appear in a third Wachowski project that will be filmed partly in Korea.

The as-yet-untitled film will begin shooting in September and is already in pre-production with both an American and a Korean team.

In Korea, it”s the same production company, Mr. Romance, which worked on Korean filming sites for the Hollywood film “The Avengers.” Mr. Romance is developing a reputation as the go-to production company for international companies eager to film in Korea....

Fans will have to wait a little longer to see Lee Min Ho”s first film “Gangnam 1970,” also known as “Gangnam Blues.” The film was originally set for release in November.  But the producers have now confirmed that the film will be released in January 2015 instead. The rationale is that this is the peak season for films.

 “Gangnam 1970″ began production in April of 2014 and had its last day of filming on Aug. 31.
