The English version of 10 Korean novels, part of the Library of Korean Literature collection, has been spreading the word about Korean literature in the United States and across the English-speaking world. The Literature Translation Institute of Korea translated the novels into English and published the collection last October in the U.S.
The series consists of ten works by Korean contemporary and up-and-coming authors: "Stingray" by Kim Joo-young; "One Spoon on This Earth" by Hyun Ki-young; "When Adam Opens his Eyes" by Jang Jung-il; "My Son's Girlfriend" by Jung Mi-Kyung; "A Most Ambiguous Sunday" by Jung Young-moon; "The House With a Sunken Courtyard" by Kim Won-il; "At Least We Can Apologize" by Lee Ki-ho; "The Soil" by Yi Kwang-su; "Lonesome You" by Park Wan-suh; and, "No One Writes Back" by Jang Eun-jin
Big Bang has prepared a special package including a calendar for the new year, but only 30,000 copies are available.
The calendar, which will be part of Big Bang's season greetings to their fans, is a thank you surprise for the love they've received for the past year. The calendars will be made in Korean, Japanese, and Chinese, 10,000 copies each, for a total of 30,000 calendars.
This gift will include photo card sets taken to commemorate 2014, along will a wall calendar, desk calendar, and schedule book, along with other presents that BIg Bang members designed themselves. Not only that, they will include a special card to view videos of Big Bang online. The videos will show the members' activities in 2013, as well as plans for the upcoming year
K-pop group Girls' Generation ranked fifth on U.S. news weekly magazine Time`s "Top 10 Songs of 2013" with "I Got a Boy".

Korean rap group Epik High celebrated their ten year anniversary on October 23 with the release of a new track for their fans.
Members Tablo, Mithra Jin, and DJ Tukutz called on their impressive group of friends to help them out with the new tune titled "420" and the track features some of K-hip-hop's biggest names.
Among the verse contributors are Double K, Yankie, Dok2, Sean2Slow, Dumbfoundead, TopBob, and MYK and the track is a frenzy of English and Korean lyrics with a heavy sprinkling of curse words.
Each of the rappers take turns delivering their individually prepared verses capped at either end by Tablo and Mithra Jin and all nicely sewn together by DJ Tukutz who personally produced the song
