We can't start a Hallyu wave male list without the one and only, Bae Young Joon. The actor recently received the most prestigious award at the Korean Entertainment 10th Anniversary Awards in Japan-The Daesang. On top of that win, he also scored the "Korean Drama Daesang" in the male actor category. Bae Young Joon is bigger than huge-he's a gigantic star in all of Asia, especially Japan. Who can top Bae Young Joon? I guarantee you that no one comes close to the kind of career he has found internationally, especially in Japan.
Kim Hyun Joong also won the "Music Daesang" for the male solo artist category he was in. Do I think that's a good choice? Absolutely not! There are a million male solo artists that can trump on Hyun Joong anytime anywhere but no one can deny how devoted his fan base is around the world, especially in Asia
