It is soon time for the annual SBS’ Drama Awards, and we have just been given a hint of who the MCs will most likely be!
On December 4, the PD responsible for the Drama Awards revealed to news agency OSEN during a phone conversation, “We are currently discussing the matter with Lee Bo Young, Kim Woo Bin, and Lee Hwi Jae. Nothing has been confirmed yet, but they are considering the position with a positive attitude.”
It was already reported on December 2 that Kim Woo Bin and Lee Bo Young have been selected as MCs for the show, and now Lee Hwi Jae, who is currently participating in many popular variety shows, has been revealed to join the two. Based on their previous appearances, the three can be expected to guide the viewers through the award show in a harmonious and professional manner
Disclaimer: The writer is not really an expert at anything much and is just a mere casual fan of “1 Night 2 Days.” The writer has been known to be rather weird and cynical at times. The writer’s opinions certainly DO NOT reflect the opinion of Soompi’s news team or Soompi as a whole.
I don’t tend to do a lot of these first impression articles. Variety Shows like “1 Night 2 Days” always tend to be slow burners and judging the merits of a show on a single episode is always bound to be a rather futile effort. It’s like looking at a new born baby and instantly saying that said baby will grow up to be a super model, get it wrong and you end up looking like a bit of a fool. Get it right, though, and you just look like a very lucky fool. But this is the internet and if there is one mode of communication that allows me to blabber randomly about something I’m interested in then this is it
Actors Gong Yoo and Park Hee Soon will be on next week’s episode of the popular SBS variety show “Running Man.” The preview of the episode was shown at the end of this week’s episode, which featured guests Lee Seung Gi, Han Hye Jin, and SISTAR‘s Bora.
Gong Yoo and Park Hee Soon seem to be on the show to promote their movie “The Suspect.” The preview shows Gong Yoo and Park Hee Soon giving their all into the missions of “Running Man,” especially Gong Yoo who gets into an intense physical struggle with permanent member Haha. It also shows Gong Yoo enjoying some dance time with Haha and Lee Kwang Soo
EXO‘s Chanyeol has been selected to be the MC of EXO’s first reality show, “EXO’s Show Time.”
Chanyeol has been noticed for his exceptional emcee-ing skills, especially through various music programs and music award shows. Chanyeol is quickly rising as the hottest new MC and has shown his skills through the first recording of the show. Although Chanyeol has emcee-ed with others in various programs, this will be the first time he will be the solo MC in a variety show.
Although Chanyeol impressed with his smooth skills, it is also said that he had a hard time containing all other eleven members and their overflowing energy!
“EXO’s Show Time,” which starts on November 28, is a “reply variety” show where fans send in questions and the EXO members give their answers

You can't deny it, every group has at least one member that slips your mind, that you forget not because he isn't talented, but simply because he doesn't stand out from the rest. The reasoning for this could be a hundred reasons. Perhaps he isn't a stand out singer, or just doesn't have a killer personality or perhaps we don't see him enough variety shows to fall in love or enough stage time to shine. Whatever the reason, today we're going to take a look at the least popular members in male groups and give reasons why they are awesome!
Big Bang's Seungri doesn't receive the kind of love and admiration that his fellow members do. To compete against the likes of Taeyang, G-Dragon, T.O.P, and even Daesung's personality is tough and would be challenging for any artist in the same group! Though he hasn't had the career that his fellow groupmates have had, one thing Seungri does have is his humor

Actor Kim Joo Hyuk and rocker Jung Joon Young are the new cast members of KBS2 “1 Night, 2 Days!”
A representative of the show revealed to Star News on November 14, “Kim Joo Hyuk and Jung Joon Young will be joining the third season of ’1 Night, 2 Days.’” Kim Joo Hyuk is not a face we see often on variety shows, so many are already anticipating to see what the actor will bring to the table. The young singer, however, has proven to be a humorous entertainer through shows “Immortal Song” and “We Got Married.”
Significant changes have taken place behind the cameras as well. Season three will be led by new PD Yoo Ho Jin and CP Seo Soo Min, and the show format is expected to change
Malaysia, 6 November 2013 – Malaysians along with other international countries have embraced the infectious and unique new form of “urban action variety, called The Running Man since its 2010 premiere in Korea. At the time, most variety shows were either talk-centered (talk shows like Strong Heart or even varieties like Family Outing or 1N2D which focused primarily in cast interaction) or game centered (Dream Team and to a lesser degree, X-Man).
Running Man was an interesting mix of both; it offered a fixed cast completing very high-concept and ever-changing races performed in a new landmark every week. The show sought to do the unexpected, implementing new missions or tasks that aimed to thrill or intrigue. The characters continue to grow and win the affection and devotion of fans not just in Korea but the world including Malaysia
This week was a fruitful one where music performances were concerned. MissA came back (hooray for comebacks that actually mean it), as well as TroubleMaker getting into the groove. These two, and the rest below were the ones I found worth a watch.
Im Chang Jung’s “Open The Door”, Arirang TV’s Simply K-Pop, November 5 2013
The balladeer/TV actor has a funny side that you would never have seen outside of variety shows, until this song, which is an attempt at trot. The novelty aside, this song is him tackling a topic familiar to his usual songs – falling in love again.
Topp Dogg’s “Say It”, KBS2’s Music Bank, November 8 2013
For those who enjoy the Block B style of guy groups, this is worth a watch
