EXO’s ‘Ko Ko Bop’ accused of plagiarizing David Guetta’s ‘Light My Body Up’

EXO’s “Ko Ko Bop” has been accused of plagiarism.

Listeners have pointed out that EXO’s newest song sounds like David Guetta’s “Light My Body Up”. Both songs are energetic reggae pop with an electronic base. The problematic parts are as folllows:

When the two songs are changed to the same key:

It’s been pointed out that the melody is the same with a slightly different key, and even the tempo is the same.

The accusers pointed out that according to previous trials of plagiarism, the two similarities, if true, would be considered plagiarism in court. However, as the comparisons were transposed by a listener and do not represent official scores, the evidence may not prove completely reliable.
