Dream High 2 reveals its final poster

After teasing fans with two different posters, one with the main characters and the other with the full cast, KBSs Dream High 2 has returned with its third and final cut.

Once again, the image features the six main characters: Kang Sora, 2AMs Jinwoon, SISTARs Hyorin, T-aras Jiyeon, and new actors JB and Park Seo Joo.

As with the first poster, four of the students were dressed in luxurious outfits, which belie a sense of privilege not found with Kang Sora and Jinwoons characters. In fact, Kang Sora and Jinwoon are seen in casual outfits, as if to emphasize their underdog appeal.

The contrast between these two groups was further emphasized by the posters tagline, which read: The most problematic Kirin Arts High School students VS. The best idols.

While the names of Kang Sora, Jinwoon, Jiyeon, and Hyorin are well known to the industry, JB and Park Seo Joo are relatively new. Its been revealed that JB was the winner of the 5th JYP Auditions, and that he possesses great dance and vocal abilities. Park Seo Joo, meanwhile, is a rookie actor who previously made his debut in the movie, Perfect Game.

Dream High 2 will air its first episode on January 30th at 9:55 p.m.

Stay tuned to allkpop for updates!

Dream High 2 reveals official poster

Dream High 2 has just unveiled its official poster!

The main cast were divided into two groups, which many interpreted to mean that one group is more privileged than the other. The bottom group is comprised of 2AMs Jinwoon and actress Kang Sora, who were hinted to be characters from a rough background (see here and here for still-cuts from their introductory scenes) earlier.

Meanwhile, the other group is comprised of SISTARs Hyorin, T-aras Jiyeon, and two male rookies named JB (JYP Entertainment) and Park Seo Joon (KeyEast Entertainment).

The haughty looks they toss at Jinwoon and Kang Sora (who volley with scowls of their own) seem to lend credence to the theory that their characters are talented, but arrogant.

Dream High 2 will undoubtedly be releasing more teasers, so stay tuned to allkpop for updates!

"Dream High 2" Releases New Poster Featuring Two New Members

Dream High 2 Releases New Poster Featuring Two New Members

Upcoming drama “Dream High 2,” the highly anticipated sequel to last year’s hit “Dream High,” finally unveiled its entire cast. Earlier today, CJ Media released a new poster for the drama. “Dream High 2” has built up hype by keeping quiet about two other cast members that will be part of the group “Eden” in the drama. The released poster has drawn a lot of interest because it features rookie actors JB and Key East Entertainment's Park Seo Joon, the two members who have been veiled until now. The top four in the poster - SISTAR'S Hyorin, JB, Park Seo Joon, and T-ara's Ji Yeon will play the Korea's best idol stars, while 2AM's Jung Jin Woon and Kang Sora at the bottom will play the two knucklehead music students.

JB plays JB, a perfectionist and talented idol, while Park Seo Joon takes on the role of Si Woo, a good-looking, devilish idol who can easily make a girl's heart flutter with his killer smile. Park Ji Yeon plays Lian, a member of the popular girl group Hershe, who also aspires to one day be the "Queen of the Cannes Film Festival," but lacks the acting ability to do so. Hyorin's Nana has a natural talent for singing and a very cool and relaxed personality. Kang So Ra takes on the role of Shin Hae Sung, an awkward student from an unfortunate background who learns music solely through books and writing. Lastly, Jin Woon plays Jin Yoo Jin, a troubled student, who's full of himself, aspiring to be a rock star

Park Jin Young will reprise his role as one of the teachers at Kirin Arts High School, which is in dire financial situation and in danger of shutting down. The second season will showcase the fierce music/dance battles between the top idol stars, who are about to have nervous breakdowns, and the school's troubled students. The upcoming drama also stars Ailee, After School's Gahee, Kim Ji Soo, Choi Yeo Jin , and others.

“Dream High 2” will air January 30 on KBS at 9:55PM KST.

Dream High 2′s official poster released

Dream High 2s official poster released

Weve had teaser stills and other images, but heres the first official poster for Dream High 2, the aspiring-idols-with-dreamin-hearts-and-dancing-feet drama hoping to match the original series popularity.

Looks like Kang So-ra and idol-turned-actor Jung Jin-woon are the underdogs, if were going by the poster, with the top dogs looking down on them (literally). They are, from left to right, Sistars Hyo-rin, JB (whos giving me some serious Taecyeon vibes), Park Seo-jun, and T-aras Ji-yeon.

Below is a teaser image with only Jin-woon and Kang So-ras faces visible, which evokes a Season 1 feel with the familiar costumes (even if it seems the skirts have gotten waaaay shorter).

Dream High 2s official poster released

A teaser was also released a few days ago, and Im tickled that it features Kirin Highs new principal, aka Kim Jung-tae. We love Kim Jung-tae around these parts, since hes a serial scene-stealer, whether hes being scary (Miss Ripley), kicking some serious ass (Girl K), playing the hapless beta male (Cant Lose), or being offbeat and eccentric (every other role ever).

Urg, this is one timeslot battle that makes me terribly conflicted, since Dream High 2 premieres the same day as Shut Up: Flower Boy Band. Both are youth-targeted, set in high school, and center around music. Both have some appealing cast members amidst rookies and unknown entities, and both have the potential to be over-the-top and cheesy, or total crack. Ones got a bit more flash and polish (Dream High 2 with its franchise, budget, and massive idol cast list) while the others a bit scrappier (Shut Up, with the band of grungy lost boys at its core).

On the other hand, I do love that I get to say, completely sincerely and without a hint of sarcasm, that this dilemma is one that may be best solved, literally, with a dance-off.

Cue music!

Seoul School of Performing Arts: a K-Pop fangirl

Seoul School of Performing Arts: a K-Pop fangirl"s dream high school

You know you"re in your dream high school when you"re surrounded by K-Pop idols! Seoul School of Performing Arts (SOPA) is a high school that attracts many idols due to its focus on the arts. Let"s play a game of make-believe--if SOPA was an ordinary public school and you, a lucky fangirl, were to attend, which role would high school stereotypical role would each idol play?

Here are my guesses:

The football captain Kai

Aside from being a wizard with his dancing feet, Kai gives off the confident air of a cocksure jock. Plus, who wouldn"t have a crush on this cutie as he strides down the hallways like a football champ?

The cheerleaders Joy

G-Friend

SONAMOO"s Euijin

Rookies Red Velvet"s Joy, G-Friend, and SONAMOO"s Euijin would make perfect cheerleaders. With Joy"s constantly cheery disposition, G-FRIEND"s high-kicks, and Euijin"s twerks combined, these fresh girls would make kickass team.

The mascot Hyeri

Now that we"ve run through the athletes, who else would make a better mascot than mukbang queen Hyeri? With her killer aegyo and ability to consume all kinds of food in one bite, Hyeri will make the enemy both fall head over heels yet also cower in fear at the thought of being devoured Kirby-style.

The preps

Sehun

Sulli

A Pink

Boyfriend

Sehun, Sulli, A Pink members Hayoung, Na-Eun, and Namjoo, and Boyfriend members Kwangmin, Youngmin, and Minwoo all have one thing in common. They look like total preps.

While Sehun has a cool demeanor that makes him seem untouchable, Sulli and A Pink are all look like ladies that come from a refined background. Meanwhile, the Boyfriend members are cute as a trio of flowerboys who would definitely find success should they ever start a high school host club.

The band geeks Jonghyun and Juniel

CNBLUE"s Jonghyun and Juniel are both masters of the guitar. A duo that both comes from the band-music oriented agency FNC Entertainment, they would definitely be labeled as adorable "band geeks" for their love and skill for music.

The rebels BTS"s Jungkook

Lovelyz"s Yoo Ji Ae

BTS"s energetic Jungkook and Lovelyz"s spunky Yoo Ji Ae would grace the halls of a high school as the rebels who act as they please. Despite their cute appearance and sweet mannerisms, these two strong idols are definitely no pushovers and won"t take crap from anybody--whether from other students or from teachers.

Glee Club Lee Hi

B1A4"s Gongchan

Glee Clubs make high school a musical place. Vocally talented, Gongchan and Lee Hi would rule the school with their melodic voices.

Class clown TEEN TOP"s Ricky

A cutie and a total dork, TEEN TOP"s Ricky would be the kind of guy that brightens up the room and makes everyone around him smile at his quirky antics, making him perfect for the role of "class clown."

Teacher"s pet Suzy

Last but not least, we have the teacher"s pet--none other than miss A"s Suzy! With her goddess looks, heavenly smile, and angelic personality, Suzy has become the entertainment industry"s favorite. Seems like this girl was destined to be loved, so of course she would receive the same treatment anywhere she goes.

Bonus: here"s a picture of the teacher"s pet with the school mascot.

What do you guys think? Do you agree with these roles?
