During the special documentary Park Tae Hwan expressed, “I’m 24 years old now and honestly, at my age I can’t say I don’t like girls with pretty faces and nice lean bodies. But because I’m an athlete I think I’m drawn to a woman who takes good care of me.” He also stated that with the end of the London Olympics, his new mission would be to find a girlfriend.
In addition, during the special the Olympic medalist showed off his skilled cooking abilities and said, “Before I started swimming my dream was to become a chef.” He prepared a mouthwatering meal for his staff team and drew compliments from them all.
Currently Park Tae Hwan is competing in the 2012 London Olympics and he won a gold medal in the 400 meter freestyle and a silver in the 200 meter freestyle events at the 2008 Summer Olympics. He is the first Asian swimmer to win a gold medal in Mens 400 metre freestyle event, and the first Korean to win a medal in swimming.. Even after experiencing a huge mental blow with his initial disqualification from the 400m preliminaries, the marine boy came back to show that he would not go down without a fight.
