G-Dragon transforms into a redhead

Idol group Big Bang's leader G-Dragon has undergone a radical hairstyle transformation.

On May 5th, G-Dragon was spotted at the Sheraton Grand Walkerhill Hotel in Gwangjang-dong, Seoul, to attend Germany's DJ and producer Boys Noize's "Gods Kitchen Fusion" performance. In the past, the two had worked on the Japanese Big Bang track, "Feeling."

G-Dragon is usually seen sporting a new hairstyle whenever a new album comes out. Most recently, G-Dragon sported the "seaweed hair" for Big Bang's 5th mini-album, "Alive," which has attracted much attention.

Netizens commented, "Big Bang's new album concept?" "G-Dragon's solo album concept?" and "G-Dragon as a redhead looks really good."

ZE:A’s Kwanghee and MBLAQ’s Lee Joon take a selca photo on the set of ‘GO SHOW’

ZE:A‘s Kwanghee and MBLAQ‘s Lee Joon attended a recording for ‘Go Hyun Jung’s GO SHOW‘.

Kwanghee recently shared the photo above via Twitter and wrote, “Look forward to Joonie and I’s appearance on the ‘GO SHOW’ keke. We look so handsome keke.”

Both idols looked rather mature dressed up in formal wear, displaying an image that’s different from their flashy stage personas. The two were invited to the ‘GO SHOW’ as rivals, as they’re both well-known for their success on variety shows.

Novelist Shin brings Korea to forefront of world literature: critic

HONG KONG (Yonhap) -- Novelist Shin Kyung-sook has opened doors for Korean literature to the world audience, marking the start of the Korean wave in the literary community, a critic has said.

"(Shin is) a great winner who has brought Korea to the forefront of world literature", Martin Alexander, editor in chief and poetry editor for the Hong Kong-based Asia Literary Review, said in a discussion with Shin late Tuesday, which was hosted by the Asia Society Hong Kong Center.

In March, Shin became the first woman and the first South Korean to win the Man Asian Literary Prize for her novel, "Please Look After Mom". The prize is an annual literary award given to the best novel by an Asian writer, either written in English or translated into English, and published in the previous calendar year

J.Y. Park postpones his comeback performances to a later date

Singer-producer J.Y. Park who was scheduled to hold his comeback performances this week on several music programs has postponed his return to a later date.

On May 9th, he alerted his fans of the unfortunate news via Twitter saying, “Because of an important project, I had to take a one-day trip to the U.S and give presentations at five different broadcast stations. By the time I got back to Korea, I had lost my voice. I had to unfortunately cancel all of my comeback performances this week. It sure is difficult to run a business and be a singer at the same time. I’ll  recover quickly and return with a much better performance.”

Taetiseo's "Twinkle" MV reaches over 10 million views

Girls' Generation's first sub-unit, Taetiseo, had their first music video surpass the 10 million views.

Taetiseo first released the music video for "Twinkle" on April 30th, and after a little over a week, the video has reached over 10 million views. As of May 10th 6AM KST, the video has acquired 10.4 million views.

"Twinkle" shows off Taetiseo's chic, yet stylish personalities and colorful outlooks. The video also has a cameo appearance of EXO-K's Kai, Chanyul and Baekhyun.

In addition, "Twinkle" has been receiving a lot of hot attention from fans, resulting in the track topping weekly charts on Hanteo, Yes24, as well as Mnet Music, Bugs, Naver Music, Soribada and Daum Music.

Taetiseo Seohyun's 360-degree S-line snags attention of netizens

Seohyun's body figure has become the talk of netizens. Recently, an online community board created a topic titled, "At any angle, 360-degree, Seohyun looks beautiful," and posted several photos of the singer.

The photos were of Seohyun recently, such as at the SM Entertainment "I AM." showcase and Taetiseo promotions, all taken at different angles, including the front, side and back, revealing her proportionate body.

Netizens who viewed the photos commented, "Suddenly, the youngest has become very beautiful," "Fantastic," "I envy her S-line," "Taetiseo fighting," and "Her body looks like a mannequin."

Currently, Seohyun is active in Girls' Generation's first sub-unit, Taetiseo, with "Twinkle."

Super Junior’s Siwon asks fans to respect his privacy

Super Junior‘s Choi Siwon asked his fans for a small favor.

Back in January, Siwon revealed that his Twitter account had been hacked. He wrote, “Someone hacked my account. I know who did it, but I will not say who. I just hope this person will not do it again. Please.”

After reading a recent tweet of his, fans are speculating that it may have happened again. On May 5th, the singer wrote via his official Twitter page, ”Truly loving someone is understanding & caring for them, not invading their privacy, stalking them or spreading baseless rumors about them… please respect my privacy and please stop hacking me.

His fellow group member Leeteuk who could relate then wrote on his own Twitter page, “Please don’t hack me either!!!! T_T

Pop star Goh faces rape charges

Police said Wednesday they will seek an arrest warrant for a popular singer and entertainer on charges of rape.

In a press release, Yongsan Police Station in Seoul said it apprehended a 36-year-old singer, with the surname Goh, who allegedly stripped an intoxicated girl and raped her.

"The police will seek an arrest warrant against Goh on charges of rape", stated the press release.

Goh was a member of a popular boys group which enjoyed popularity in the mid-1990s. In recent months, he has appeared in popular entertainment programs on MBC TV and a cable TV show, which airs at night.

Goh was attracted by the girl when he watched recordings of a program starring her to be aired on cable TV soon, at his office in Seoul on March 30, a police officer said.

He got her phone number from a person who participated in the production of the entertainment program and called her

Park Yoo Chun Voted Number 1 Actor Who Looks Most Like an Anime Character

Park Yoo Chun, who is currently playing the role of a crown prince in "Rooftop Prince," has recently been named as the number 1 "man jjit nam."

"Man jjit nam" is a shortened word that literally means, "a man who looks like he was ripped out of a comic book." This defines a man, who is pretty and handsome like a protagonist from a love story comic.

On a online community site, a poll was created to vote for the best "man jjit nam" or "man jjit nyuh" (female version) celebrities. About 48,000 netizens voted. Park Yoo Chun received 43.5% of the votes (20,900 votes) and took the number 1 spot.
