Kangta to star in his own cooking show, ‘Kangta’s Pasta e Basta’

  Kangta will be revealing his cooking skills on his own show ‘Kangta’s Pasta e Basta‘ this coming week! Olive Channel will be airing ‘Kangta’s Pasta e Basta’ which is a show focusing on, you guessed it, pasta! Kangta, who reportedly has much interest in Italian cooking, will be showing off eight different pastas that he has personally come up with himself. The first guest on the show will be Kangta’s fellow coach on ‘Voice Korea’, singer Baek Ji Young

At Uijeongbu music festival, Korea meets the world

"Nuova Barberia Carloni" by Italian theater group Teatro Necessario will be performed on May 12 at 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. and on May 13 at 5 p.m. Provided by the festival From Spanish theater to K-pop, this year's Uijeongbu International Music Theater Festival will feature a wide range of music from May 5 to May 20 as it aims to introduce foreign music to Korean fans. Though the suburban town northwest of Seoul has been running this music event for the past 11 years, Uijeongbu hopes that with the help of world-renowned soprano Jo Sumi as honorary chairwoman, it will draw an especially large crowd this time around

New Programs to Support the Disabled in Seoul

This week, the city of Seoul announced a series of new projects and policies to help residents with disabilities.Seoul Mayor Park Won-soon said that the comprehensive plan would involve 65 projects focused on five key areas, including housing, job creation, and public awareness. Under the new plan, a new Human Rights Center for the Disabled will be created, along with construction of 18 new residential facilities. In addition, the city plans to increase its number of employees with disabilities by 10 percent

Yi Sun-shin needs a shower

The statue of Admiral Yi Sun-shin is hosed down by Seoul Mayor Park Won-soon and Asan Mayor Bok Gi-wang yesterday in Gwanghwamun Square in Jongno District, central Seoul, in celebration of the 420th anniversary of Korea's victory in the 1592 Japanese invasion. Admiral Yi, the famed Joseon Dynasty general who fended off Japan's invasion of the country in the late 16th century, is a native of Asan in South Chungcheong. The statue is cleaned in a joint project between the two cities ahead of the 467th anniversary of the admiral's birth on the 28th, which will be celebrated with the 51nd Great Admiral Yi Sun-Shin Festival in Asan
