Basterd Ruin New Flooring In Korean Rap Scene With 'Intro'

Basterd Ruin New Flooring In Korean Rap Scene With 'Intro'

Basterd Intro (Photo : Track Works Entertainment) The Korean hip-hop scene has became attention to a couple of rookie rappers.

Rap duo Basterd, made fromindividuals Voss and XID,released their first self-written, composed and produced EP on Dec. 10.

"Zawoozi" starts Introwith an eerie setting unlike what now we have ever heard before. The strength in the track comes from the multitude of new sounds that mesh in combination to shapean incredible piece that works on many levels.

The lead unmarried "All" introduces mind-boggling rap talents from the boys. The wrong pronunciation of key English words every now and then convey you lotclear of the song, yet after the primaryconcentrate its no longer much of a problem. The contrast of Voss and XID's voice is authentic and at times resembles G-Dragon and T.O.P (by no way a bad thing).

Any passion in rap has at all times ended in a scrounged up face because of the heavy use of sirens, but in "Kill Me" they arebring to a halt and save the ears from conceivable musical disaster. The track does a super homage to Snoop Dogg (or is it Lion now?) and Wiz Khalifa's song "Young, Wild and Free".

"Get Out My Way" is the susceptible link in the outrageously cool sound we've been presented, but the rap is still on point so no lawsuits here! If the name of the song is a premonition for the long term then goapart because those boys are able to take at the industry.

The remastered edition of "About Me" is just not much other from the customary (maybe cleaner... arrangement-wise). Althoughthe general track leaves you in want of more, relaxationconfident that Basterd is certain to make a comeback soon!

Looking ahead to how the duo will evolve in the years to come! They are talented and display a knack for music beyond their years.

Teen Singer Takes Korean Music Scene by Storm

Teen Singer Takes Korean Music Scene by Storm

Teen Singer Takes Korean Music Scene by Storm

A 16-year-old teen singer who made her debut on the SBS audition program "K-Pop Star" has become an overnight star. After finishing second on the show in April, Lee Hi was signed by YG Entertainment where she underwent six months of preparation to release her first single.

Her debut song "1.2.3.4", released at the end of last month, has swept various music charts in Korea. Apart from Psy's global hit "Gangnam Style", it is the longest-running No. 1 single in here this year. Her second song, which is scheduled for release on Thursday, has also been drawing much attention.

Music critics say Lee's popularity stems from her unique voice and style, both of which differ from the girl groups that have dominated the K-pop scene in recent years with their synchronized dancing routines. She also stands out when compared to other solo singers like IU, who win over male fans with their girlish looks and sweet voices.

In contrast, Lee has drawn attention with her husky voice and unique charms, which have garnered her a broad range of fans of all ages.

YG was quick to see her potential and decided to let her release her debut single after just six months of preparation. "At a time when the public is growing weary of identikit dance groups, we were very fortunate to find a singer with such unique appeal and a great voice", a spokesperson for YG said.

However, some critics say it is inappropriate to have a high school student perform provocative dance moves on stage.

Pop culture critic Kim Jak-ga said, "She has a lot of potential to grow. What appeals to me about her is that she does not simply try to copy other singers, but has created her own style".

The timing of her comeback is also drawing much interest as the 2012 London Olympics will also be taking place around then. While many artists avoid the Olympic season due to the publics increasing interest in sports rather than music, BoA has not backed down and will be sticking to her plans of releasing her new album.

This will be her first album in Korea in two years and with her activities as a judge on K-Pop Star, many are anticipating her return to see what shell come up with next.
