Around 40 cast and crew, including lead actor Dongjun and the series’ director, have not been compensated for their work. According to reports on September 12, CEO Han of the production company UCR has ignored requests for payment or delayed payment.
It’s reported Han has claimed the rights to the drama series will be sold, which will then provide finances for payment to the cast members and filming crew.
Though filming for ‘Happy Hostage’ wrapped up in fall of last year, post-production and editing have yet to begin. Furthermore, the series was originally due to premiere late-2016 or early-2017, but it looks like viewers will have to wait longer.
