Super Junior was back in Singapore once again on May Day to perform for 8,000 fans at the Singapore Indoor Stadium. Members Leeteuk, Heechul, Kangin, Eunhyuk, Donghae, Siwon, Ryeowook, and Kyuhyun along with Super Junior-M members Henry and Zhoumi, entertained ELFs for three and a half hours, filling the void left by of the absent members.
The afternoon show started with a video of the members playing secret agents in an Oceans Eleven themed plot looking for the 10 pieces of treasure. The eight members all decked in gold-embellished military style uniforms then appeared on center stage with a track from their 2005 album Twins, a rock version of Bonamana and Sorry, Sorry with Heechul vigorously hitting the drums and smexily shaking his mane, followed by a recorded video. I love watching video interludes at a SUPER SHOW because of the effort the crew and artists put in to make each one funny and witty or serious and meaningful.
During the performance of She Wants It, Donghae broke the table legs after dragging it to the side. He was immediately teased about it during the first talk segment. Members gave their greetings in Mandarin and private limited English. Donghae gave flying kisses while Siwon said he wants to be our fortune cookie because I want to be your fortune. Yeah, I know, that was cheesy. Kyuhyun proved he is really something when he kneeled to receive more cheers from fans. Siwon also forced everyone to speak only English.
Heechul rolls out :Saranghaeyo Kim Heechul. Today. Tomorrow. Tonight. Yesterday (and breaks into Beatles song Yesterday). English major? Hee.
Eunhyuk did better. Thank you so much. Thank you for coming tonight. Not tonight, Thank you for coming afternoon. You missed me? I missed you so much. Because you are mine.
Leeteuk tried to sell more albums for sure. You sexy, free and simple. You like me? You love me? Love me tender (switches to Elvis Presley mode.)
The highlights of the show are usually the solo performances, which arent always the same at every stop during the tour. Kyuhun sang two songs- My Thoughts, Your Memories and the Chinese version of At Gwanghwamun. Kangins Heartbreak was accompanied by players on strings and percussion while Ryeowook belted out the Mandarin hit Qi Li Xiang by Jay Chou.
Fans were wowed by Henry when he gave an energizing performance of Michael Jacksons Smooth Criminal on violin and his own hit song Fantastic. Zhoumi seems to have received more love from fans this time round as the whole stadium cheered for him when he came on stage to sing Rewind. In the earlier SUPER SHOWS, it left a bad taste in my mouth when many fans used his solo segment to go for bio breaks. Fans have learned to show respect, well done!
The Donghae and Eunhyuk collaboration delivered 1+1=LOVE and Growing Pains. Im so buying that album now, love their songs! When it was Siwons turn to sing his solo song, Leeteuk accompanied him on stage and revealed to the audience that Siwon was nervous to sing the song. Of course, it turned out to be Lost Stars, the same Adam Levine song that Leeteuk sang for his solo segment at earlier stops. Now, what will Leeteuk be singing then? It was a heartfelt rendition of Huh Gaks Hello. Leeteuks powerful vocals shone and surprised many with his smooth delivery during the high notes.
Super Juniors cosplay used to be fun to watch, but the many variations of Elsa and Anna (Heechul) failed to excite me this time. Only Kyuhyuns big wig made me laughed when he was invited to come on stage. The introductory video was funnier. Sorry guys, sorry!
Many of us actually shed a tear or two when Shindongs video for Dont Forget (theme song of IRIS originally sang by Baek Ji Young) was played. When the stages video screen panned out to show Shindong on stage, it looked so real as though he was right there singing the sad song in tears.
Among one of the funny dialogues that night came from Kyuhyuns mix of English and Mandarin. At first he was certain that the Singapore audience couldnt understand Mandarin but the ELFs gave a resounding ke yi! (Yes, we can) in response. Yet the next word that came out from his mouth was Minnasan.. (Everyone, in Japanese). Everyone burst out into laughter.
When see you next time de shi hou (的时候 , when), wo bian de geng shuai, chang de geng hao (我变得更帅, 唱得更好, I will become more handsome and sing better). Ni men xian zai shou kan de shi Gui Xian (你们现在收看的是圭贤, You are watching Kyuhyun now.) While the boys were doing their thank you speeches, Ryeowook was busy bundling all the face towels on stage and threw it out to the fans in the mosh pits.
Siwon spoke in fluent Mandarin and said he has been busy promoting his movies alone and shared that hes feeling lethargic with the constant traveling recently. He went on to apologize for his less than perfect performance. Dont be too hard on yourself Siwon! Im sure fans will understand!
Im not so sure about SUPER SHOW 7 but we have to do it in Singapore so dont worry. Thats our promise. Singapore is the best place in the world! Just promise us one thing, listen, dont change your heart. Just be together and see you in our dreams. Thank you Singapore, I love you. Siwon made a pact with ELFs. With Singapore as the last second leg of SUPER SHOW 6 and the remaining members imminent departure for military service, the seventh edition of SUPER SHOW could well be a few years down the road. Till then, farewell Super Junior!

"Full-house" star Lee Young Eun has confirmed she is three months pregnant with her first child.
On February 25th, a representative of J-Wide Company confirmed that the actress was three months pregnant, saying, “Lee Young Eun is currently three months pregnant, and mother and child are both healthy.”
They continued, saying, “Lee Young Eun is currently resting following the conclusion of her recent drama, ‘Punch.’” Her only remaining commitments involve the release of her upcoming film, ‘Granny from Hell,’ after which she is expected to focus all of her attention on prenatal care.”
Following her wedding in September of last year, Lee Young Eun appeared in the recently concluded “Punch,” where she played doctor Park Hyun Sun, the sister of the show’s main character, Park Jung Hwan (Kim Rae Won).
Check out “Punch” on SoompiTV, and look out for Lee Young Eun’s upcoming film, “Granny from Hell.”
On the November 19th broadcast of KBS2TV’s “Full House”, the former of S.E.S member Bada attended the program. Coming to this show, Bada has opened up about her past hairstyle, "antenna".
On this episode, Ji- Eun also visited the show and she repeated the Bada’s mechanical greeting, which the idol often used in the past. Bada surprisingly made everyone burst into laughter as she replied: “"It was worse when I was an idol".
She referred to the "antenna hair" in which one or two strands of long hair would be let down the front of the face. She said in relation to greetings, "If the antenna positioned in the center went off to the side, that greeting of the day was probably a failure. When Chief Lee Soo Man had photos taken of me, he would say, "Her front antenna is pretty. If it goes off to the right, it isn’t pretty." He even told me that even when I got out of the car, I had to get off so that the left side of my face was showing."
The characters in the upcoming remake of "Full House" will be speaking Chinese. That"s because the remake, which begins filming in December, is being co-produced by Korea"s Group Eight Production Company and China"s Asia Holdings.
But the star of this version will also be Korean. Eli of U-Kiss will play the leading male character made popular by singer-actor Rain in the 2004 k-drama version.
When foreign actors appear in Chinese dramas they are usually dubbed but that won"t have to happen with Eli. He was born to Korean parents in Los Angeles, but after dropping out of high school, he traveled alone to Beijing at the age of 15. The main rapper in the six-member group U-Kiss, Eli went to school in China and also learned to speak Mandarin.
Besides brushing up on his language skills, he learned Taekwondo and King Fu techniques for 12 years, which led to him being cast as an extra in a Chinese film.
The k-drama, which also starred Song Hye Kyo, was wildly popular with ratings as high as 40 percent. Auditions will be held for the actress who will play the female lead.
In the original k-drama, Song Hye Kyo played Ji Eun, a screenwriter who lives in a house that her father built. It is called Full House. Her so-called friends trick her. They send her away on a fake free vacation and while she is away, they sell her house to a famous actor named Young Jae, played by Rain.
She comes back and she"s homeless but she"s not willing to give up on her house. Young Jae lets her live there but she has to live there according to his rules. That"s not easy as she is a slob and he is very neat. Then they have a fake marriage to make his ex-girlfriend jealous and the eventually the two contractually married roommates fall in love.
There"s no word on how faithfully the Chinese version will match the Korean one.
Group 8 is also the production company responsible for adapting the Japanese manga-based drama "Nodame Cantabile" into "Tomorrow Cantabile," starring Joo Won. They specialize in adapting manga-based dramas, as they were also instrumental in bringing "Pretty Man," which starred Jang Geun Suk, and "Playful Kiss," which starred Kim Hyun Joong, to Korea. The production company"s most famous manga turned k-drama may be "Boys Over Flowers," starring Lee Min Ho and Gu Hye Sun.
