While his fellow BIGBANG members are busy with their individual comebacks, BIGBANG maknaeSeungri is busy with something else. The YG artist is currently preparing to compete in a professional jiujitsumatch.
According to Koreaboo, Seungri is preparing to join a jiu jitsu competition this summer. The report said that he will be attending he the New York Summer International Open IBJJF Jiu-Jitsu Championship this July to earn a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
Seungri, who has already earned his blackbelt in taekwondo has even impressed mixed martial artist and Ip Man star Donnie Yen who was surprised at the BIGBANG member’s fluency in speaking Mandarin as well as his skills as a fighter.
Most recently, Seungri was in Osaka to train in jiu jitsu and his dedication to the sport has earned the approval of jiu jitsu black belter Matthew Diniz. As a result, Seungri, who has always been the most outgoing and extroverted member of the K-pop idol group has even recruited the members of his training camp to become supporters of BIGBANG.
While Seungri is hard at work excelling as a fighter, his fellow BIGBANG members Daesung, G-Dragon and Taeyang are filling entire stadiums for their individual concerts. Daesung was the first to release his Japanese mini album “D-Day” in April as well as hold his successful Japan Dome tour in the same month, Kpopstarzreported.
Next came BIGBANG leader G-Dragon who dominated the local and individual charts with his solo comeback “Kwon Ji Yong”. His “Act III:MOTTE” World Tour has also added more stops bringing the total number of cities included in the tour to 24. Taeyang will be releasing his solo album soon and will be perform in Japan for his “SOL Japan Stadium Tour 2017” this July and August.
