DJ Moon Ji Ae wanted to know what Baek Ji Young has been occupying her time with lately to which the singer replied, "I"m trying to have a baby. I"m curious as to how the child will look, what kind of voice the child will have. I"m curious about all those things."
Moon Ji Ae also shared her thoughts on the matter, stating, "I"m very interested in parenting too. But rather than think that I should have a baby soon, I think more about how I should raise [the child] and how I should educate [the child]. Even when I"m browsing through channels, that"s the topic I tend to watch."
Baek Ji Young responded, "I think that"s your mind"s way of preparing. If you"re interested you automatically absorb the material without studying or researching the topic."
When asked whether she wants a son or daughter, Baek Ji Young answered after some consideration, "I think a son would be more comfortable [for me]. I got along well with my friends"s sons. I"d be too cautious with a daughter. I think my personality matches better with sons."

Singer Baek Ji Young will be the third artist to take part in singing the OST for Producer.
Her OST titled And is a ballad song with a dreamy tone that brings out Baek Ji Youngs signature voice. It is produced by songwriter Kim Eui Suk, who also wrote the main title song for Sungkyunkwan Scandal among many other famous songs. It is reportedly said that this particular song will a bit different than her past OSTs but will still prevail as one of her memorable ballad songs.
Baek Ji Young is nicknamed the queen of OSTs because the OSTs that she sang for various dramas in the past have been immensely popular every single time. So far she has sung OSTs for SBSs Secret Garden, KBSs Iris, SBSs Hyde Jekyll, Me, and more, earning the compliment, The best singer to make the emotions of the drama come to life.
A representative of Sony Music stated, Following the great line-up of singers for the Producer OST, Baek Ji Young is the third singer up after Lee Seung Chul and Kim Yeon Woo.
The representative continued, We are aware that some viewers were disappointed in the lack of love lines in the drama after the first episode that aired last week. However, the romance will advance in episode three, and that is why we chose Baek Ji Young to sing our third OST to match the mood of the drama.
Meanwhile, a Producer OST album is planned to be released offline on May 26.

For the first time ever in Singapore, a Korean drama OST themed concert was held here on April 22 at The Star Performing Arts Center. Baek Ji Young and K.Will who headlined the one-night only show was joined by Gilgu Bonggu (GB9) and Yoo Sung Eun. Together, they treated ardent K-drama fans to symbolic songs from the last decade to the latest popular OST songs of today.
I got goosebumps right from the beginning when GB9 gave their rendition of Bogoshipda (Im Missing You). Stairway to Heaven was the very first drama that got me started on Korean dramas and I was so smitten with Kwon Sang Woo back then! The next song was Snow Flower from Im Sorry, I Love You, starring So Ji Sub and Im Soo Jung, followed by I Believe from My Sassy Girl which made everyone take notice of Jun Ji Hyun and Cha Tae Hyun. I bet you still remember Gyun Woo being humiliated by wearing Jun Ji Hyuns high heels! Right?!
Next up was a moving performance of From The Beginning Until Now from Winter Sonata, the second installment of season-themed tetralogy Endless Love drama series by Director Yoo Seok Ho. Lee Bong Gus vocal prowess was evident but Kang Gil Gu was probably not feeling so well that night as his voice turned out a little shaky at the high notes. The audience also got a taste of GB9s debut song Going Crazy before they handed the stage over to Yoo Sung Eun.
The singer-actress first warmed up with I Think I from Full House, one of the classic dramas that avid K-drama fans must watch. I love how her strong vocals can go all tender and sweet, giving flavors to every song she sings. Yoo Sang Eun went on to captivate the audience with Touch Love from Masters Sun and My Destiny from last years Drama of the Year, My Love From The Star. And at last, I can hear the song Be OK live. This catchy song was used in jingles by Oh!K TV (a new cable channel in Singapore, featuring the latest dramas and variety programs from MBC).
GB9 then rejoined Yoon Sung Eun on stage to for my personal favorite, Perhaps Love, which can be considered the OST of the year when popular drama Goong (Princess Hours) aired in 2006. Oh I didnt want the song to end!
Finally, it is the King of Drama OST K.Wills turn to perform. K.Wills set included Like a Star (also from My Love From The Star), The Only Person (from Pinocchio), Love Is Punishment (from Brilliant Legacy) and Growing (latest comeback song) before stopping to greet fans. It was pretty hilarious when the fans screamed every single time K.Will took a sip of water on stage, which he too found amusing and began teasing fans by repeatedly drinking from the bottle.
In Korea it happens a lot. Well, I guess this is our officially saying hello, with me drinking water? Although Im here tonight for the soundtrack concert, I hope the next time Im here I will be singing to you more of my songs. I have a lot of good songs, said K.Will to the cheers of fans.
It is really great to know that fans look up the meaning of the songs, and for you to sing with me, thats really grateful to know as a singer. Thank you so much!
K.Will went on to perform the upbeat Real Love Song (from The Greatest Love) and wrapped up with My Heart Is Beating (from his second mini album of the same title).
The night belonged to Baek Ji Young. The moment she walked out on stage she was welcomed with clamorous cheers even though she started her set with a really sad break up song.
Hello Singapore, thank you, nice to meet you! This is my second time in Singapore; I was here three years ago for the MAMA concert. Back then it was a huge event with a lot of other artists and I didnt have any interaction with my fans. This was not as fancy as the show I was here for last time, but through the songs of famous and amazing dramas from Korea, I hope we can have a great time together. The song you just listened to is Please Dont Forget Me from the drama IRIS and it was a huge hit even in Korea. It was a great honor to be featured in such an amazing drama. What do you think I will be singing next? Thats right. This is a song that I really love, That Woman (from Secret Garden).
After performing That Woman and After a Long Time from Rooftop Prince, Baek Ji Young shared with the audience: That drama has good acting by Park Yoochun and Han Ji Min but it was a lot more special to me because my husband Jung Suk Won. We have a puppy at home and we named it after his role (Yong Sool). Jung Suk Wons role in the drama was the crown princes bodyguard who donned a blue track suit. Baek Ji Young also revealed that it is the first time that she sang After a Long Time on stage after singing it for the drama, specially gifting it to the fans in Singapore.
The Queen of Drama OST went on to belt out Because of You (from Hyde, Jekyell, Me), Spring Rain (from Gu Family Book) and Fervor (from movie The Fatal Encounter). I cant say that we are really close but I think the relationship I have with Hyun Bin is rather special, commented Baek Ji Young. Nobody will deny that, after all Baek Ji Young has sung several OSTs for dramas and movies that featured Hyun Bin!
In an attempt to bring fans to their feet, Baek Ji Young also danced to Bad Girl and My Ears Candy with her manager rapping along. Baek Ji Young closed the concert with Like Being Hit By a Bullet. It would have delighted fans further if K.Will and Baek Ji Young had a special stage and sang a duet together. Nonetheless, all good things will come to those who wait. As a K-drama fan myself, Im already looking forward to more such OST-themed concerts!

Arguments among married couples are unavoidable, but not everyone has a trusted best friend to mediate the fights like Kim Sung Soo does for Baek Ji Young!
The April 23rd episode of KBS" "Happy Together 3" was the "partner special", and singer Baek Ji Young and actor Kim Sung Soo, who have been close friends for 17 years, appeared as a pair. Since they have been around each other for so long, the MCs asked Baek Ji Young if she ever thought Kim Sung Soo was attractive. She admitted, "I"ve thought a lot that he"s an attractive person. But I haven"t ever been attracted to him as a man," making the studio burst out into laughter.
She talked about how Kim Sung Soo helps her and her husband, actress Jung Suk Won. She shared, "When I fight with my husband, Kim Sung Soo helps by getting in the middle. He tells me, "Where can you find a guy like Suk Won? Treat him well." Then even when I"m mad, I end up thinking "That"s true." I"ll find out later that he also tells Suk Won "Treat Ji Young well. Where can you find a woman like her?" He compliments both of us."
That made the MCs curious, and they asked if she fights often with her husband to which she replied, "We"ve fought twice in one day before." Kim Sung Soo added, "Suk Won is young, but he has the disposition of a man, and Ji Young is older. Even if a man is younger, he still always wants to be an attractive guy to his woman. It"ll be better for you two if Ji Young yields and lets Suk Won act like a man."
Do you happen to have a friend like Kim Sung Soo?
A video of ballad queen Baek Ji Young and up-and-comer Song Yu Bin trying their hands at dancing has been released, and it appears the latter needs a bit more practice.
A video of the pair dancing to Red Velvet’s “Ice Cream Cake” was released through Music Works’ official SNS accounts on April 8. The video shows Baek Ji Young, a noted fan of Red Velvet, attempting to teach the dance to Song Yu Bin and her manager backstage at MBC’s “Show! Music Champion!” on April 8.
Particularly funny is Song Yu Bin’s serious expression as he attempts, somewhat unsuccessfully, to follow Baek Ji Young’s moves. Having maintained the image of a stoic vocalist since his time on Mnet’s “Superstar K6,” this is the first time Song Yu Bin shows fans his clumsier side.
A caption was also posted along with the video, reading, “Not Wendy but Wenji, not Seulgi but Solgit, not Yeri but Yori’s “Ice Cream Cake” is here.” Hinting at the video’s hilarious content, the caption then apologized to the Red Velvet members, saying, “Wendy, Seulgi, Yeri, Joy—we’re sorry.”
Meanwhile, Baek Ji Young and Song Yu Bin’s “Garosugil at Dawn” has remained at the top of the music charts since its release March 24.
Check out the video of the two dancing below!
