Hyomin, Qri, and Soyeon post photos on Instagram celebrating T-ara’s 5th anniversary + fansite Tiara Diadem gathers funds to plant forest under group name

Hyomin, Qri, and Soyeon post photos on Instagram celebrating T-ara’s 5th anniversary + fansite Tiara Diadem gathers funds to plant forest under group name

image

Fellow members of T-ara – Hyomin, Qri, and Soyeon – celebrated their 5th anniversary via Instagram on Monday, July 28th!

Hyomin and Qri uploaded a photo through their respective Instagram accounts at relatively the same time, expressing various states of contentment with their latest milestone.

Qri posted a quadruple selfie of herself in various cute poses, with the simple but sweet caption, “What words are needed! T-ara3 Queens” Showing her grateful heart, she revealed more of her charms for fans to enjoy in light of the special occasion.

image

Hyomin, on the other hand, revealed a slightly dampened perspective regarding her 5th year since debut, though she too showed happiness nonetheless. Posting a photo of a plastic Snow White model waving while looking elsewhere with a smile, Hyomin had cut off her eyes in the image, with the caption, “The fifth year.. A year [where I feel] both a surge of happiness along with a tiny bit of depression. But let’s still stay strong..! #T-ara5thanniversarycongratulations #5yearswithT_ARA”

image

Though Hyomin has not elaborated on anything else since, perhaps the reality of the future is dawning on her, as following her first solo debut with “Nice Body,” she is continuously elevating higher into her career of music. Nonetheless, though she was even spotted falling asleep while getting her make-up done, her solo debut was successful, and she returned her fans’ support by handing out snapbacks that she had personally designed herself to fans.

Ten hours later, Soyeon uploaded a complex photo of words and names composing a crown-shape in white amidst a black background. It is comprised of every members name, as well as group and solo song titles, unit names, the official member count, and the special occasion as the top center jewel of the diadem. Below lies the dates of their career so far, “29.07.2009 – 29.07.2014.” As a caption, Soyeon added three black hearts.

Whether this was a fan art or personally done by Soyeon herself is not explained, though fans could see a basic record of all the title tracks, unit songs, and solo debuts that T-ara released throughout their five years. Looking back, fans can also anticipate T-aras future promotions.

Additionally, one of T-ara’s dedicated fansites – Tiara Diadem – began a project in the beginning of April to raise funds for a forest under T-ara’s name, in accordance to their 5th anniversary date. Various official fansites from all over Asia planned to participate as well. All sites will be pitching in money together for the event, which will be conjoined with aid from TreePlanet, the organization that they’ve partnered with to facilitate the plans. Funds were collected by Tiara Diadem for relatively two months, where they gathered a successful amount of over $2100. The location will be revealed later today through the site, and the trees will be planted during the fall season, which is the best time for growth during the year in South Korea.

SNS album giveaways will also take place with both solo debuts that T-ara accomplished this year – three copies of Jiyeon’s solo mini-album “Never Ever” (including autographs), and two copies of Hyomin’s mini-album “Make Up.” The only requirements are to incorporate social media portals (SNS) in order to follow the fansite through Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, and reblog their article through all three portals. Then, those interested must reply both to the portal article as well as the forum thread. In order to have a chance at winning at least one album, one needs to simply complete at least one of the five steps. The more SNS requirements one fulfills, the more chances they have of winning the specially given albums.

Fans and members alike are celebrating T-ara’s latest achievement on the special date of Tuesday, July 29th (KST). Congratulations to T-ara for coming this far in their music career!

K-Pop Crossover: 2NE1 English Fansite Now Hiring Blackjacks, And The Best English Fansites Of Korean Idol Groups!

K-Pop Crossover: 2NE1 English Fansite Now Hiring Blackjacks, And The Best English Fansites Of Korean Idol Groups! (Photo : Twitter)As the K-pop phenomenon grows across the globe, English fansites have become an invaluable part of the online community for Korean idol groups.

A good example of this is K-pop sensation 2NE1 and the English fansite YGLadies. With over 42,000 members from around the world, this fansite is a place all Blackjacks can call home.

And as K-pop expands, so too does the fansites for leading idol groups like 2NE1.

In addition to having active YouTube channels, K-pop idols rely on English fansites to reach international fans around the world.

When K-pop fans join a fanclub, they can participate in community events and get the latest scoop on their favorite Korean group. Often times, the K-pop group will have direct contact with the community to stay connected to their fans.

An example of this is the recent story of Dara and Blackjack fan Loreign, who recently passed away from a terminal illness.

A letter spread around the Internet addressed to Dara of 2NE1 about a Blackjack named Loreign. In the letter written by a member of the Blackjack community, we learned that Loreign has been battling cancer.

"It may not be much, but we were hoping perhaps a mention from you would give her the boost she needs to pull through this critical stage and live out the rest of her days with one more happy memory," said the letter.

Thanks to the letter being posted on forums like YGLadies and Twitter, Dara saw the request and wrote a personal note to Loreign and encouraged her to fight hard and stay positive.

After Loreign's passing, Blackjacks mourned the loss through places like YGLadies, YouTube, and Twitter, showing the support K-pop fans have for one another.
