ASTRO’s Moonbin breaks down LGBT barriers during recent ‘V Live’ broadcast?

A few days ago, ASTRO’s Cha Eun Woo and Moonbin chatted with fans during a ‘V Live’ broadcast from their hotel room in Tokyo.

After finding the best spot in the hotel room to carry out their broadcast and updating viewers on their ongoing Japanese concerts, the two members waited to see what comments fans had for them. One fan said, “Oppa, I successfully became a couple! Please congratulate me!”

When Cha Eun Woo read the comment aloud, Moonbin marveled, responding immediately, “Congratulations!” He continued, “I don’t know if the person is male or female, but we ask that you turn the person you are going out with into an Aroha (fan of ASTRO).”

Viewers speculated that because the fan used “oppa,”a Korean word used by females to refer to older males, Moonbin’s response directly and carefully considered his fan might not be heterosexual. However, it’s possible he didn’t hear the comment correctly or forgot the word “oppa”was even mentioned. It’s hard to know for sure.

Later on during the broadcast, fellow ASTRO member Rocky joined in, and the trio continued answering fans’ questions and goofing around until bed time.
