Park Shin Hye revealed to have donated $48,000 for Sewol ferry tragedy relief

It"s been belatedly revealed that Park Shin Hye donated 50 million won (~$48,100 USD) to relief for the Sewol ferry tragedy.




A rep from Hope Bridge Nationwide Disaster Relief Association, an NGO acknowledged by the South Korean government for disaster relief, told Newsen about the generous donation on April 23, "Park Shin Hye sent the money to Hope Bridge Nationwide Disaster Relief Association"s collection account in her name, but we didn"t know it was the celebrity Park Shin Hye at first. We later found out. A manager from her agency did not let us know she donated. I think they didn"t want it to be known." 

S.A.LT Entertainment also stated that like the rest of the nation, Park Shin Hye was very saddened by the tragedy and decided to donate on her own.

Global Fans Of K-Pop Showed Support For Sewol Ferry Incident

After news of the ferry incident began to spread online, global K-pop fans showed their support and grieved with them.

Russia specifically showed much grief for the incident as it was revealed that a 16 year old Russian girl was also aboard the ship.

They also revealed that many people from Russia showed support and messages of hope online to everyone who had been effected by this incident.

On the Hallyu fan club Facebook page, their photo had changed to the "Pray For South Korea" image as they continued to support and pray for the people.

Many of the tweets and messages revealed requests for help, prayers and support.

Fans in Thailand also showed their support and mourning through SNS online as well.

On April 18 in Bangkok, they held a "Thailand Pray For South Korea" candle event as well to show their support

EXO Luhan Takes His First Role In Acting In Chinese Movie

EXO Luhan will be making his acting debut in a Chinese movie.

On April 23, media revealed that he would be playing a role in the Chinese movie, "Mid-Twenties" along with Wilson Chen and other stares. 

This movie is a remake of the Korean movie, "Miss Granny," which was directed by Hwang Dong Hyun.

This movie is about an old man who becomes young again. Luhan will be playing the told of the female lead"s grandson.

Luhan is currently busy in China with EXO-M and their new album, Overdose.

This movie is set to crank in on May 20.

Group 2AM Mourns For Ferry Incident During Japan Concert

It has just now been revealed that group 2AM showed mourning for the ferry incident during their Japan concert.

On April 23, Japan media revealed that on April 20 at the Tokyo Dome City Hall, 2PM held their "LIVE ARCH vol. 10" concert. 

"Live Arch" is an event that was made specifically to spread and expand Asia"s entertainment.

Media stated that 2PM sang many of their hit songs for a total of 11 songs and received much praise from the fans.

2AM also showed mourning for the ferry incident during the concert as well.

Leader Jo Kwon commented during the concert, "We hope that everyone here can also pray for the ferry incident. Our hearts are in such pain," and showed their grief for the tragedy along with their fans.

Choi Jin Hyuk Looking Over Role in MBC’s “Fated to Love You”

Actor Choi Jin Hyuk is looking over a role in a new MBC Wednesday – Thursday drama titled, “Fated to Love You” as his next project.

On April 23, a rep of Choi Jin Hyuk’s agency, Red Brick House, stated, “He has received an offer for a role in ‘Fated to Love You’ and is looking over the role optimistically.”

“Fated to Love You” is a remake of the 2008 Taiwanese drama. It is a romantic comedy that portrays the story of how an “average girl” whose kindness is her only charm, and a “surrealistic perfectionist,” who is under the threat of losing his place as the heir from not being able to continue the family name, get married and the happenings that take place between them.

Jang Hyuk and Jang Nara have confirmed their roles in the drama. Choi Jin Hyuk has been offered to play character who has a crush on Kim Mi Young (Jana Nara)

V.O.S. Choi Hyun Joon reveals the exact date of his marriage



V.O.S. vocalist Choi Hyun Joon finally settles the exact date of his marriage with his model girlfriend Soyi, and it's going to be on May 18.

The announcement has been made through his agency, Star Empire. They revealed that the wedding ceremony takes place at DaeChoding Hall in Gangnam, Seoul and other details haven't finalized yet.

In December last year, Choi Hyun Joon announced his plan to marry his 4-month girlfriend who is a model and businesswoman in the field of fashion and 4 years younger than him. They have their first son February this year.

Couple Cha In Pyo-Shin Ae Ra visit the memorial altar of deceased students and offer condolences




To lend their condolences to the families of deceased Danwon High School students who passed away in a tragic sunken Sewol tragedy, the actor couple Cha In Pyo and Shin Ae Ra personally visited the temporary memorial altar in Ansang Olympic Memorial Indoor Gymnasium on April 23.

Photos of them were taken showing grief while looking at the innocent faces in the funeral photos of the students. It is also reported that the couple comfort the parents and Danwon students who are mourning for their loss.



Over 150 people have been reported dead from the Sewol tragedy, most of them are students. In the midst of suffering and loss, the couple share the pain and suffering of the people left behind.

Super Junior win multiple awards at 2014 Singapore E-Awards



Super Junior once again prove their popularity and stand in Hallyu despite hiatus by winning four awards at 2014 Singapore Entertainment Awards.

V.O.S Member Choi Hyun Joon to Get Married

Male group V.O.S member Choi Hyun Joon is getting married.

On April 23, A representative of Choi Hyun Joon’s agency, Star Empire Entertainment, confirmed, “Choi Hyun Joon will be walking down the aisle at a wedding hall located in Daechi-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul on May 18. The details of the wedding, including the officiant, MC, and the guest singer, have not been confirmed yet.”

The rep added, “It’s good news, but we are careful about announcing the news due to the Sewol Ferry tragedy and because the nation continues to grief our loses.”

Last December, Choi Hyun Joon revealed his future wife, a fashion business entrepreneur and model who is four years his junior, was pregnant. She gave birth to a son in February.
