Music shows are reportedly not airing on the first week of May.
An exclusive report by Segye Ilbo states that all music shows are canceling on the first week of May due to the presidential election.
KBS ‘Music Bank and SBS ‘Inkigayo’, which is supposed to air on May 5 and 7, respectively, have already confirmed that they will not be airing. MBC ‘Show! Music Core’ is also reportedly planning to cancel airing, as well as MBC Music ‘Show Champion’ and Mnet ‘M Countdown’.

The cancellation of the music shows is expected to affect the promotions of several idol groups. It’s reported that some artists have already pushed back their comeback to June.
