Supreme Court Makes Final Decision in Tablo Case but Tajinyo Refuses to Accept
The Tajinyo members charged for spreading malicious rumors about Tablo were finally confirmed guilty by the Supreme Court, marking a win for Tablo.
Tajinyo, however, is refusing to accept the results.
On January 8, the day the final Supreme Court decision was made, the Tajinyo members strongly opposed the decision at their official web cafe.
One netizen said, “I cry out loud. Korean justice is certainly dead,” while another said, “I don′t know whether the world is making me a man of excuses, or whether I′m becoming a man of excuses myself.”
One said, “Yale University harmed Dongguk University, but Stanford University harmed many unspecified individuals in Korea.”
The general mood showed how, despite the final decision, Tajinyo was still suspicious of Tablo′s academic credentials.
This day, the Supreme Court upheld the sentence of eight months in jail with a two year probation handed to a member accused of defamation by Tablo.
The justice department said, “Appeals for unjust sentences can only be filed in cases with death sentences, life sentences or jail sentences over 10 years. In this incident, where a lighter sentence was given, such an appeal cannot be filed.”
The decision wraps up for good the long, three year battle between Tajinyo and Tablo with Tablo′s win. Tajinyo, however, seems to be determined not to give up.
Another member of Tajinyo said, “We lost the legal battle, but we didn′t lose the battle of truth. It′s difficult to prove this through simple legal routes. You can′t cover the sky with your palm.”
