MBC set to produce international version of "We Got Married"
MBC is set to produce an international version of their hit reality show, “We Got Married.” MBC released an official statement on August 7th and revealed that they have signed a letter of invent (LOI) with Sony Pictures Environment Networks Asia (SPENA) in Singapore last July 18th.
It was also explained that MBC will be in charge of producing at least twelve to fifteen episodes of the new version, and it will be aired via SPENA on forty-one countries such as China, Taiwan, Indonesia, Australia and more. The new version of “We Got Married” is slated to start airing this winter or early Spring.
The producers also revealed that they will keep the original format of the show and will only make minor changes. They will cast stars from different backgrounds and will focus on showing the couple learning about their cultures.
