Idol stars who are often mistaken as the youngest member of their groups

The above collage of idol stars recently surfaced on an online community board, and is becoming a hot topic of conversation amongst netizens.

Seeing the post titled ‘Idol stars who are often mistaken for maknaes‘, fans began discussing the group members who look young for their age, sometimes even younger than their team’s actualmaknaes.

The top choice was B2ST‘s Yoseob. The singer who turned 23 in Korea boasts a baby face and is often mistaken as the youngest member of his group. Likewise, 2NE1‘s Sandara Park (Dara) who was born in 1984 turns 29 in Korea this year, however, her age is not obvious, even when standing side by side with group maknae Minzy who is ten years her junior.

T-ara‘s eldest member Boram is often mistaken as the youngest member thanks to her cute, petite frame, while 2PM‘s Wooyoung is actually a year older than youngest member Chansung. KARA‘s Seungyeon is actually 6 years older than Jiyoung.

Girls’ Generation‘s Taeyeon and Sunny also look extremely young for her age, and are often mistaken as the youngest members of their group. Once, at the show Infimate Note, Girls’ Generation‘s Seo Hyun told Sunny : “Do not do aegyo (nice gestures) any more, they thought you are maknae, not me !!!”

Netizens who came across this post left responses such as, “They all look like the youngest members“, “These members are actually a lot older than I thought“, and more.

9Muses Bring the “Drama” Written by Lo On January 26, 2015

Following a very busy 2013, including the release of their first album and best selling song, 9Muses spent most of 2014 getting press for all the wrong reasons. Namely, members Lee Sem, Eunji, and Sera all left the group, which was a real problem considering that Lee Sem and Sera were the best rapper and vocalist, respectively. This left their latest comeback, “Drama”, is a real make-or-break song, and honestly, my money was on “break”. However, 9Muses rose to the challenge and delivered a fun little pop song. . ...
