Upcoming drama “Haeundae Lovers”will soon begin airing on KBS starting August 6th, and the cast is scheduled to hold a press conference on August 1st. However, T-ara’s Soyeon, who plays Lee Gwansun, will be absent from tomorrow’s event.
“Haeundae Lovers” will be Soyeon’s acting debut, and she has put in a lot of hard work for her first acting role. Unfortunately, with the recent news of Hwayoung’s contract termination, all of the members of T-ara, including Soyeon, have been receiving a lot of pressure from fans and critics. Specifically, the message boards for “Haeundae Lovers” are filled with people commenting that they will not watch the drama if Soyeon is appearing.
A representative from the drama commented, “We have not talked about cutting Soyeon from the drama, but she will be absent from the press conference. Soyeon’s absence had already been decided in advance. Because she has a scheduling conflict, she will be unable to attend the event tomorrow. This does not have to do with the recent incidents.”
Meanwhile, fellow member Eunjung will appear in the upcoming SBS drama “Five Fingers,” and netizens have been rallying to remove her and Soyeon from their respective roles.
