FT Island’s vocalist Lee Hongki will be returning to the silver screen with his upcoming movie, “Our Heaven.” Although he has shown his acting in dramas such as SBS’s “You’re Beautiful” in 2009, this film will mark his first appearance in the movie world since his 2005 work, “Winter Child.”

He said, “I put a great deal of thought into choosing this project. I was largely moved by the script, so I decided to take it on.”

Set to begin filming in September, the movie focuses on a star named Chungeui who is sent to a hospice to do community service after causing some trouble. While helping these patients, he learns to deal with his own pain as well as deepen his appreciation for music.

Meanwhile, his bandmate Song Seunghyun has also been making progress with acting through his stage performances in “Jack the Ripper.”

At the moment, the idol band is set to release their next Japanese single, “Top Secret,” on August 8th.
