Around 3 AM on July 24, 2PM member Nichkhun was caught driving under the influence with a blood alcohol level of 0.056%, hitting a motorcyclist.
JYP Entertainment immediately apologized for his unacceptable behavior.
JYP stated, "We apologize since this happened due to our fault. He had a few beers after rehearsal and the accident happened right after."
This accident caught internet users by surprise. This behavior was very different from Nichkhun's usual image.
JYP Entertainment has always been known to create artists that were well behaved and wise. No matter how great of an artist they are, they were to be educated in building good character.
Compared to other celebrities who have had more serious incidents, Nichkhun's was minor compared to them. Also, JYP had immediately apologized as well as Nichkhun.
Nichkhun had always shown his growth in the entertainment industry and had never had a crisis such as this.
Many people are hoping that he will take this crisis and use it as an opportunity to realize that he is only human and that people do make mistakes. Through this accident, many hope that he will remember how to be humble as a person and as an artist.
