LeeSsang‘s Gil selected MC Mong as the reason why he decided to join the cast of MBC‘s ‘Infinity Challenge‘.

The screen captures above from a 2009 episode of KBS 2TV‘s ‘Champagne‘ recently surfaced on an online community board. With it was written, “Why Gil firmly decided to join Infinity Challenge’.

In the actual program, Gil had opened up by saying, “I was a little hurt by MC Mong. I feel as though I may cry now talking about it.”

“Last year, I was invited to MC Mong’s birthday party,” he continued. “The cast of Infinity Challenge and 1N2D were all there, so I sat with them. But MC Mong then suddenly came over and began asking me a bunch of questions. He asked what I was doing sitting there amongst them, as I was a hip hop artist, not a member of Infinity Challenge or 1N2D.”

“Every time he saw me, he said, ‘Look at this guy,’ watching my every move,” Gil explained. He was hurt by MC Mong’s lighthearted joke and became determined more than ever to become a member of either 1N2D or Infinity Challenge, no matter what it took.

His determination paid off, as Gil then became a member of the popular program, ‘Infinity Challenge’. As he wrapped up his story, Gil evoked laughs by stating, “Still, MC Mong is a savior of sorts that challenged me and made me a stronger person.”
