After recently making a comeback with the release of part one of his sixth album, PSY talked about his dream of establishing his own independent label

PSY plans to set up his own independent label

After recently making a comeback with the release of part one of his sixth album, PSY talked about his dream of establishing his own independent label. On July 16th, PSY met with some reporters and revealed that he was actually close to establishing his own label until his military service got in the way.

He was also quoted saying, “I’ve always dreamed of establishing an entertainment company like SM, YG, and JYP. By the end of this year, I think I’ll be back on top, which means that by next year I’ll be able to set up my company.”

Despite currently being signed under YG Entertainment, PSY clarified that Yang Hyunsuk has been supportive of his dream and has agreed to help PSY in some aspects. PSY further described the agreement as YG Entertainment’s “sister company” if pushed through.
