A-JAX has been earning the attention of the Japanese media as the “successors to SS501“.
On July 11th, the boys performed to a crowd which included 200 Japanese broadcast and media officials at the Shinagawa Stella Ball, which was attended by the likes of TBS, Nihon TV, Nikkan, Sankei, Daily Sports, and Sports Hochi, all of whom expressed deep interest in the boys and their activities.
Following the event, several newspapers claimed the boys to be the successors to SS501 and ran reports stating, “A-JAX is the birth of a new Hallyu star to follow the foot steps of SS501 and KARA.”
Gyuri had actually made a surprise appearance at the showcase as an MC and introduced the boys as her younger brothers. She expressed, “They may look powerful on stage, but they’re a group with a lot of cute charms. A-JAX has a lot of similarities to KARA.”
A-JAX performed a total of three tracks at the event including a Japanese version of “One 4 U“. The boys are currently promoting their second digital single, ‘Hot Game‘, in Korea while preparing for their Japanese debut next month.
