On a recent online community forum, a title read, "Idol groups original names." In the article, it revealed the names of idol groups before their debut.
Idol group Super Junior's leader Leeteuk was supposed to be 'Kangsoo' because they originally had wanted a name similar to his real name, Park Jung Soo. Shindong was supposed to be 'udong', Kangin was supposed to be 'woongdam' and Kyuhyun was supposed to be 'kwihyun'.
Popular idol group TVXQ was originally supposed to be 'Oh Jang Yook Bu' or 'Dong Bang Bool Pae' and others.
Boy group Big Bang was also supposed to be called, 'Diamond'. TOP was supposed to be 'Mark', Daesung to be 'Big Castle', Seungri to be 'Sonic' and Taeyang to be 'Taekwon'.
Girl group Wonder Girls was originally supposed to be called 'LC' which stood for 'Ladies Club'. Sunye was supposed to be 'Sunny', Sohee to be 'IC', Yeeun to be 'Silver and others. They did have some songs recorded with this title, but due to their documentary that featured the name Wonder Girls before their debut, they decided to stick with that name.
Shinhwa member Junjin was originally supposed to be called 'Igigo', Minwoo to be 'Parang', Dongwan to be 'Ato' and others.
Internet users commented, "IC is such a funny name" and "There have been rumors that 'Diamond' was thought up by G-Dragon."
On April 20th, Cube entertainment revealed that Apink celebrated their fourth anniversary since debut by participating in volunteer works with fans.
The six girls visited a disabled children’s facility in Gwangju, Gyeonggi Province, and spent time with the children there.
At the end of the day, Apink thanked their fans for accompanying and helping them with that meaningful event. They sang their new track “Promise U” as a present for them.
