CNBLUE is one of the hottest K-Pop idol groups of Hallyu and it seems as though they have much more to offer than their music.
Although each member is well recognized for their musical talents, music is not the only specialty CNBLUE has under their sleeves. One by one, each member began appearing in dramas/films since 2010, but it wasn't until recent when all four members of CNBLUE set foot in the film/drama industry.
CNBLUE's leader Jung Yong Hwa was the first to pursue his acting career in the 2009 drama "You're Beautiful." Shortly after in 2010, Kang Min Hyuk also made his debut on the small screen in the SBS drama "It's Okay, Daddy's Girl." Also in 2011, Jung Yong Hwa appeared in the popular musical drama, "Heartstrings."
In addition, Kang Min Hyuk received a role on a KBS drama "My Husband Got a Family," also known as "Unexpected You," earlier this year in March. In the drama, Kang Min Hyuk plays the character named Cha Se Gwang who is a heartbreaker. Kang Min Hyuk was praised for his skillful acting in the drama and he is without a doubt one of the biggest factors that contributed to the incredible popularity of the drama.
Although Lee Jong Hyun has prior experience acting in a movie called, "Acoustic" this inexperienced guitarist/vocalist of CNBLUE shocked the fans with his unexpected natural acting skills in the SBS weekend drama "A Gentleman's Dignity." His co-stars include top actors like Jang Dong Gun and Kim Ha Neul.
In "A Gentleman's Dignity" Lee Jong Hyun plays the character named Collin, who leaves his home in Japan to find his biological father in Korea. Since the start of his role in "A Gentleman's Dignity" Lee Jong Hyun has been receiving rave reviews from both critics and fans for his performance, not to mention his co-stars who continuously praise him for his positive attitude and work ethics.
Most recently, Lee Jung Shin made the headlines for his decision to guest appear in the drama "My Husband Got a Family" also known as "Unexpected You." The episode that features Lee Jung Shin is scheduled to air on July 15 on KBS. To build up the anticipation, CNBLUE's agency and the staff of the drama refused to reveal any other details regarding Lee Jungshin's character.
Regarding his camero role in the drama "Unexpected You," Lee Jungshin stated, "I am honored to be able to appear as a cameo on the nationally popular drama 'Unexpected You.' We, CNBLUE members watch the drama every weekend since Kang Min Hyuk is in it. I will work hard so that I won't become a burden to the drama. I'll do my best."
CNBLUE's multi-talented members continue to awe their fans with various contributions to the underprivileged, music industry and now the drama industry. It seems that there is nothing these guys cannot do once they set their minds to it.
