The girl group competition in the month of July is fierce.

2NE1, T-ARA, SISTAR with their recent new song have each placed in the top 3 of Gaon chart.

According to the Gaon chart for the second week download chart 2NE1 grabbed the top spot with new song “I Love You” that fuses traditional Korean music with modern electronic tunes with 491,489 downloads. Followed by T-ARA title track “Day by Day” with 465,890 downloads. SISTAR after entering the chart in fourth place last week with “Loving U” raised one step to third place with 440,960 downloads. In particular, all of the girl groups have each surpassed 400,000 downloads with each song.

The Goan single chart ranking streaming content, downloads, ringtones combined have placed SISTAR’s “Loving U” on the top being out 2NE1, and T-ARA. Just like this girl groups are showing a stiff competition in the music scene with the return of K-Pop girl groups.

Super Junior placed fourth place for the first week with the group’s sixth studio album Sexy, Free & Single, with 274,306 downloads with a big difference between the top 3. Busker’s Busker’s self-composed song “If You Really Love Me” which took first place last week was pushed down to fifth place.

In the meantime Super Junior’s Sexy, Free & Single grabbed first place in the weekly album chart.
