Wonder Girls reveal group image teaser for "Like Money" ft. Akon
The release date for Wonder Girls' upcoming single "Like Money" is quickly approaching.
On July 8th, Wonder Girls revealed a group photo artwork, posing like strong "bionic women" with American artist Akon in the background overlooking them with sunglasses on.
Wonder Girls' first released the artwork for the single via their website and Facebook account on July 4th, making many Wonderfuls excited for the new release. Producer Park Jinyoung (J.Y Park, JYP) revealed on his Twitter that a special artists would be featuring in the track, one who has over 40 million likes already on his Facebook, which made fans began to guess on who it would be.
On July 5th, Wonder Girls released their first music video teaser, their concept noted as bionic women. This was followed by a second teaser, which still revealed nothing about the mysterious special artist. It wasn't until the third teaser revealed on July 7th that Akon was revealed to be the featured artist. A look into the actual music video was also shown, and the members of Wonder Girls were seen wearing skin-tight outfits with hair tied tightly up in buns, giving them a strong outlook.
This is not Akon's first time to have worked with a Korean artist before. Solo female singer BoA featured on Akon's track "Beautiful" for the Japanese release of his third album, "Freedom," in 2009.
