Yesterday, 2PM’s Wooyoung had his debut performance as a solo artist at the mnet’s “20s Choice Awards,” and unfortunately, it was not the performance he dreamed of. The annual “20s Choice Awards” are always held outside and goes for the summer pool party concept. As such, there is always an excess of water on the stage , either from the pool or the sky (Korea’s summer monsoon season), which calls for tons of slips and faceplants.

In the middle of Wooyoung’s performance to “2night,” one of his backup dancers fell on the slippery stage. Moments later, Wooyoung also slipped as he was performing an intricate footwork sequence. He then slipped again at the end of his performance. What started out as a charismatic performance, it was heartbreaking to see Wooyoung’s confidence slowly drop throughout the performance. The  long runway-like stage, slippery floors, randomly placed models, and the lack of audience participation added to the awkwardness of the performance.

Meanwhile, the tracklist for Wooyoung’s upcoming solo album “23, Male, Single” has been unveiled several hours ago. The album will contain a total of seven tracks, two of which had been produced by his fellow 2PM members, Junsu and Junho. His title track “Sexy Lady” is produced by J.Y. Park “The Asiansoul.” 

Wooyoung’s solo album is scheduled to be released on July 8.

'Gentleman' slips to 33rd on Billboard
Despite Psy's "Gentleman" breaking the 300-million mark on YouTube Thursday, the song slipped further on the Billboard Hot 100 chart yesterday to 33rd place from 26th place a week ago. It is said that the song fell short in streaming and sales online although the music video was widely played on YouTube. Also, Billboard only counts views from within the United States. Psy shared his disappointment during a special lecture at Harvard University on Thursday. He said he was surprised to find himself disappointed when he heard the news, even though he should be thankful for being recognized on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in the first place...
