Which Star Was the Top Idol for First Half of 2012?
Miss A member Suzy was picked by her fellow idol group peers as the top idol for the first half of the year 2012.
MBC Every1′s “Weekly Idol” featured a special clip of the “Best 10 Idol members of the first half of 2012,” ranked by the number of votes idol groups gave to individuals of their picking.
Among the groups that were nominated were EXO who only made their debut three months ago, Teen Top who finally cinched the number one spot on a live music show program after a year and a half since their debut, “Actor-idol” INFINITE‘s L, and CNBlue‘s Kang Min Hyuk.
Out of all the promising nominees, the glory of first place went to “Nation’s first love” Suzy. INFINITE’s Woohyun who voted for Suzy himself praised the singer-actress by writing on his ballot, “Her acting skills seem to come to her so naturally.” Teen Top’s Niel also wrote, “Whether it comes to film or drama, everything she participates in appears to flourish because of her prized acting skills.” MC Jung Hyung Don is also quoted to have complimented the young budding star by claiming, “All of the Uncle fans out there are struck with ‘Suzy fever’ right now.”
“The Best 10 Idols for the first half of 2012″ episode will air on June 27 at 6pm on MBC.
On April 20th, Cube entertainment revealed that Apink celebrated their fourth anniversary since debut by participating in volunteer works with fans.
The six girls visited a disabled children’s facility in Gwangju, Gyeonggi Province, and spent time with the children there.
At the end of the day, Apink thanked their fans for accompanying and helping them with that meaningful event. They sang their new track “Promise U” as a present for them.
