Girls' Generation and other K-Pop idols to be made into robots starting later in 2012
With high performance motors and twenty joints total, the robot figures will be made to closely resemble the members of girls’ generation. They will also be engineered.
Fans of Girls’ Generation, Super Junior, and other popular groups will be pleased to know that they will soon be able collect their favorite idols in the form of robots!
South Korean robot companies, Dongbu Robots, IR Robots, and Ocean Bridge ENT, recently signed an agreement on June 25th to produce robot versions of the popular K-Pop groups, to be released at the end of this year. With high performance motors and twenty joints total, the robot figures will be made to closely resemble the members of Girls’ Generation. They will also be engineered to perform their dances, with technology similar to that of the humanoid robot, “Hovis Eco,” that was released earlier this year in April by Dongbu Robots.
Fans who purchase a Girls’ Generation robots will be able to download an application that will allow the robot to sing and dance to Girls’ Generation’s music.
