Terminally Ill US K-pop Fan, Dreams Come True to Meet Super Junior and SHINee

Fifteen year old, terminally ill patient, Donika Sterling, arrived in Incheon Airport today, June 16, to fulfill her dream of meeting her favorite K-Pop group. Accompanying Donica are her mother, grandmother, her nurse and the family lawyers, through whom her situation was publicized in Korean media.

The lawyers stated, "Donika spent the last few years enjoying Korean dramas and music as a way of distracting her from her illness. She is very excited to be coming to Korea to meet some of her favorite performers."

Donika Sterling will be spending the next two weeks in Korea where she will be meeting her favorite idol groups, Super Junior and SHINee. SM Entertainment is the official agent of Super Junior and will be inviting her to the filming of a music video the band will be shooting on the 27th of next month. She is also invited to a special event in her honor to meet SHINee where gifts and events have been planned around her.

While she is in Korea, she plans to tour Seoul and even visit a center for terminally ill patients. She will be staying at the Seoul Marriott Hotel and will receive treatment at Yeouido St. Mary's Hospital.

Donika Sterling's dream was to come to Korea but due to her illness she hadn't been able to do so. But through fortuitous events and connections, Donika's grandmother nursing patient, Herbert Black of American Iron & Metal, she was able to make her dream come true.
