Lee Byung Hun and Ahn Sung Ki will be the first Asian actors to leave their hand print at the Hollywood Grauman’s Chinese Theatre. On June 23-24 Lee Byung Hun and Ahn Sung Ki will join the “Look East Festival” and leave their handprint at the “Walk of Fame.”
Out of the 85 year history of the “Walk of Fame” it will be the first time that Asian actors leave their hand print. The “Look East Festival” will have Pierre Rissient, Clint Eastwood, Quentin Tarantino, and Oliver Stone as guests.
A representative of the “Look East Festival” stated, “Lee Byung Hun has been recognized worldwide for his roles in ‘The Good, the bad, the weird,’ ‘G.I. Joe,’ and ‘A Bittersweet Life.’” Ahn Sung Ki will be part of the event for his influence on the Korean film industry and also the respect he has as a Korean actor.

Korean actors Lee Byeong-Heon and Ahn Seong-gi have added their hand and footprints in front of Grauman's Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, California.
This ceremony was part of the "Looking East 2012 Korean Movie Festival" held over the weekend at the historic theater. The hand and foot prints of some 260 legendary movie stars and directorsincluding Marilyn Monroe and Charlie Chaplin have been placed in the courtyard of the theater.
The two Korean actors are the first Asian actors to be given this honor at the world-famous site.
As we reported before Lee Byung Hun and Ahn Sung Ki left their hand prints at the Hollywood Grauman’s Chinese Theater on June 23-24. They joined the “Look East Festival” and left their handprint on the “Walk of Fame.”
On June 7, Lee Byung Hun gave remarks on having put his hand prints on the “Walk of Fame” during the photoshoot interview for “1st Look.” (He and Ahn Sung Ki were the first Asian Actors to have their hand prints and foot prints imprinted. Lee Byung Hun stated, “It is said that most popular stars get their hand print imprinted on the Hollywood ‘Walk of Fame’ however, because the limited amount of space in front of the Grauman’s Chinese Theater, the process of deliberating who will have their hand print imprinted is very particular. I couldn’t believe it when I heard the news that I would have my hand imprinted.”

Everyone at the script reading kept looking at him and he recalled this as an embarrassing moment.
Lee Byung Hun stated, Thats when I started to feel timid. I kept worrying, What do I do when someone tries to talk to me? So whenever my colleagues spoke to me, I only gave them short answers. I never started a conversation with them first. He also explained that whenever all the actors had to move from one place to another in one vehicle, he stared out the window hoping that nobody would come talk to him.
He added, I was timid and nervous, so I couldnt approach others first. I only heard of the rumor after I became somewhat close with people towards the end of filming. One of the staffs told me, there was a rumor saying that youre a prince. Because I wouldnt talk or hang out with others and just sit there by myself without saying a word, people thought that I was a prince in Asia.
