BIGBANG Met With Great Enthusiasm In Their First Visit To Taiwan

YG Entertainment’s BIGBANG have arrived at Taiwan and have recieved a great reception from local fans, setting a record for the biggest crowd for a foriegn artist. Over 1200 fans had gathered at Taiwan’s Taoyuan airport on April 9 to welcome BIGBANG. When they arrived, BIGBANG were said to be amazed by the large crowds and greated their fans with a bright smile. A large quantity of fans present at the airport held placards asking BIGBANG to hold a concert in Taiwan, with local broadcasters capturing every moment of this event and airing it in their respective news programs.
BIGBANG then held an official press conference at the Taipei 101, attended by over 100 local journalists from various companies such as CTV, CTS, FTV, TTV etc. BIGBANG remarked that “This is our first time visiting Taiwan but we didn’t think there would be this many fans. We were really surprised. We are holding a world tour this year and we will try to have a concert in Taiwan no matter what.”
During this press conference, BIGBANG received a commemorative plaque from the CEO of Warner Music Asia for attaining platinum status on their 4.5 Special Edition Album and a double platinum for their “ALIVE” album. Fans present at the press conference also prepared a Happy Birthday song in Korean for Daesung, who’s birthday is on the 26th.
BIGBANG’s “ALIVE” album has swept the various Taiwanese charts since it’s release in March and continues to be popular amongst local fans.
Infinite Takes Down Servers with ‘One Great Step’ Ticketing
Taking One Great Step to its world tour, Infinite managed to crash servers what it was at it. On June 18, the ticketing for 2013 Infinite 1st World Tour: One Great Step took place on InterPark at 8PM (KST). With so many fans rushing to the site at once, the InterPark servers crashed and were barely reachable until an hour later. The tickets are all currently sold out.The ticketing rush was so great that it became the number one searched topic on Naver, even pushing the World Cup final preliminary game between South Korea and Iran out of the way...
"Be Covert, Be Great" Passes 5 Million Mark
After smashing many records on opening day, Be Covert, Be Great has managed to race to the 5 million mark just 12 days since its premiere.According to the Korean Film Council′s Compiled Ticket Computer Network on June 17, Be Covert, Be Great sold 372,963 tickets on June 16, taking the total audience to 5,267,937. The record follows it reaching one million moveigoers in two days and three million in just five days. Even in its third week, it has been going strong.The film is based on a webtoon of the same title, and talks of how three North Korean spies disguise themselves in South Korea...
