When SBS”s K Pop Star audition strated, the first favorite was Park Jimin. Wih the audition continues, however, Lee Hayi emerged as a new star. This is confirmed by the numbers of search keywords typed on Korea’s most popular portal site Naver. Lee Hayi was searched as twice many times of Park Jimin. 

The 17 year old Lee Hayi enchanted the judges and also the viewers with her mature sensibility and excellent interpretation of music. She is not only skilled but has some sort of “freshness” and twist of characters, which makes her a new favorite of K Pop Star. Park Jimin, Lee Michelle, and Kim Nayun follow Lee Hayi on the search rank chart.  Park Jimin’s strengh is her sense of rhythm and high tone, and Lee Michelle has also been mentioned as a “strong winner candidate,” Kim Nayun, on the other hand has been the issue of the show, after her “club photo” has been revealed. As a minor she is not supposed to visit clubs.

It is unusal that all the high ranked candidates are girls. Viewers anticipates the first girl winner of Korean singing competition. K Pop Star starts its first live stage this Sunday.
