Seouling: Seouling Travels To KCON The large apple harmonicar June 29, 2016 0 Seouling: Seouling Travels To KCON NY Seouling is an ongoing series from Soompi featuring photo tours, thoughts, and reports of puts in Seoul. By capacity of giving a view into the streets of Korea, Seouling hopes to shipping Soompiers to the hub of Korean entertainment.

Seouling without the Seoul? What’s a lady gotta do to get some K-pop feels over in the States? As a contemporary transport back to the U.S., my existence has been in sore want of K-pop colour since I returned from Korea 3 months ago. Where are the idol faces plastered on buses? The lovelyphotographs and packaging on everything? The life-sized cutouts of EXO in front of Nature Republic? Er, wait, the ones still exist in NYC Koreatown.

Needless to say, I used to be more than a little extremely joyful when given the opportunity to constitute Soompi at KCON NY. This used to be it! A chance to reignite my K-pop feels back afterward leaving Korea for a couple of months.

Although KCON began early on morning closing Friday, I wasn’t in a position to make it into the housetill the early afternoon. I becomein an instant blown away by the choice ofenthusiasts and the naturalpower on web site when I arrived.

It at all times amazes me when K-pop fans get in combination and the affection and determinationthey have got for their artists and other fans. This time was no exception. Once ane stepped into the courtyard surrounding the Prudential Middle I may justlisten fans signing along (in Korean!) to a BTS song to my left, and to my appropriate I saw fans guffawing and chatting — all whilst cosplaying as their favourite idols.

I slowly browsed in the process theendless stalls and was temporarily overloaded with how much amazing stuff was around me. Sheet mask amongst Song Joong Ki’s face! Hampers in the form of bumblebees! Hats with idol’s names on them! All over I looked was a proclamation of love for K-pop and Korean culture, and it was amazing.

The hours whittled away on Friday and prior to I knew it I was stepping out from taking pictures at the red carpet and walking into my phase for the concert that night.

The calories at the concert was infectious. SEVENTEEN, Ailee, Dynamic Duo, Crush, and BTOB killed the night. Highlights included: SLAYLEE Ailee crushing it after technical difficulties and proceeding to sing acapella after the track cute out, SEVENTEEN being adorable, BTOB talking hilarious English (see below), and Dynamic Duo and Weigh down reminding me why I admire Korean hip-hop.
