Comedian Lee Soo-geun talked about the rumor regarding the value of his wealth on the episode of KBS 2TV’s “Win Win” that aired on Jan. 31.
Lee, who appeared as a guest, not the MC, on the episode, denied a report that he had earned 30 billion won since his debut.
He said, “When my name is searched online, ‘Lee Su-geun 30 billion won’ comes up in a related search. That is a tremendous amount of money. Ten billion would be enough to make my family live wealthily.” He attributed the origin of the rumor about the 30 billion won to businesses he was connected with. He said, “Many people misunderstood that I own the businesses. However, I am not the representative. I only receive a modeling fee.” He added, “The president of a franchise bar is one of my friends. I did not even receive the model fee.”
He continued, “All the businesses I was connected with became my businesses nominally. In that method of evaluating wealth, the value of my wealth should exceed, not 30 billion won, but 100 billion won.”
Then how much wealth does he actually have? He disclosed his wealth, saying, “I will disclose it frankly. I own a 32-pyeong apartment unit in Sangam-dong and some savings.” He said, “I feel good to see people evaluating my wealth higher. It means people appraise me highly.”
Meanwhile, on the Tuesday episode, “Expert” Kim Byong-man, a comedian, appeared as the MC.
