In an interview with Daily Sports recently, Moon Chae Won revealed her experience stating, “My accent was so heavy that I didn’t really talk to the friends so naturally became a wangtta. I think I didn’t talk for about a year.”

Moon Chae Won is from Daegu originally and when she was in 6th grade, moved with her family to Seoul. When Moon Chae Won started middle school in Seoul, she had not learned the standard Korean dialect fully so she ended up becoming a wangtta.

Moon Chae Won said, “I spent my time alone then I got interested in art and went to Sunhwa Art High School and started to make friends. By then, I had learned the Seoul standard dialect completely.”

Netizens commented on the story, “Moon Chae Won is too pretty to be wangtta”, “I think she’s too pretty so people were jeaous”, and “Seoul dialect is no big deal.”

Moon Chae Won was the recipient of various awards for her work on KBS 2TV’s ‘The Princess’ Man’ and movie ‘Arrow: The Ultimate Weapon’. Moon Chae Won is working a busy schedule this new year with many ad filming as well as review of scripts of movies and dramas.
