The JTBC‘s melodrama “Secret Love Affair” aired its 5th episode on March 31.

On this episode, Oh Hye Won (played Kim Hee Ae) and Lee Sun Jae (played by Yoo Ah In) shared a deep kiss, showing their love to each other.

Yoo Ah In delivers a provocative character in “Secret Love Affair”

Yoo Ah In’s acting was completely different from the previous dramas he starred in. In the drama Secret Love Affair, he portrays a young handsome boy and he seemingly is able to deliver the character quite well. But as he reveals his feelings for Kim Hee Ae, his “Yeonhanam” image (Young handsome boy) slowly fades away and transforms into a more provocative character.

#Yoo Ah In escapes from his handsome young boy image

As the episodes go further, Yoo Ah In slowly breaks apart from his young and innocent looking image. The drama depicts a different kind of story wherein the characters portray roles that are actually very different from the usual characters. Yoo Ah In plays as Lee Sun Jae He is a young and handsome genius pianist who eventually becomes attracted to Kim Hee Ae, who is a married woman in her 40s. He unknowingly develops a forbidden affection towards Kim Hee Ae which becomes uncontrollable. Kim Hee Ae, in the drama seemed to have ignored what Yoo Ah In really felt towards him and just kept on helping him pursue his dreams as a professional pianist. However, as what the fifth episode revealed, Kim Hee Ae’s feelings for Yoo Ah In had been provoked and the situation became complicated.

Despite Yoo Ah In’s age gap from Kim Hee Ae, he was able to act out the scenes with her in a very attractive yet sexy way though the innocence from his face cannot be torn away very easily.

Yoo Ah In received commendations and praises from the viewers for the not-so-usual character that he portrays in the drama.

#Pure and Provocative

On the fifth episode, Oh Hye Won kissed Lee Sun Jae forcefully and asked him if that’s what he wanted. Lee Sun Jae showed a provocative character as he back hugged Hye Won and told her, “I just love you that way.” He expressed it all out right away. Anyhow, since he portrays a young and handsome image in the drama, he still captures the pure and innocent character without knowing what lies ahead of love affairs and its consequences.
