America’s Next Top Model to film in South Korea
Tyra Banks will be coming to Korea to shoot “America’s Next Top Model” in Seoul and Kyeonggido from the 21st of March.
Along with Tyra, the contestants will also be arriving in Korea, and they will be shooting in Korea for 2 weeks in total.
While their filming date has been confirmed to start on the 21st, the date of arrival has not yet been revealed. It was even announced that Tyra Banks may arrive at Incheon International Airport in a private jet.
The portion of America’s Next Top Model filmed in Korea will include the usual scenes of the models taking on missions and photo shoots. Also, Korean fashion designers will also participate in a runway fashion show at the end of the filming period.
Furthermore, it was revealed that they had originally planned to film in Seoul approximately 4 years ago, however due to the Shelling of Yeonpyeong Island by North Korea in November of 2010, plans to shoot in Korea had been cancelled.
The decision to shoot some episodes of America’s Next Top Model in Korea was largely influenced by the wife of 10X10 Entertainment’s CEO, Lee Hyeri, in which she is a Korean-American who immigrated to America when she was just 4 years old.
The dates for filming America’s Next Top Model in Korea were chosen carefully so as to not overlap with the filming of Marvel Studio’s “Avengers: The Age of Ultron”, which will start on the 30th of March.
Meanwhile, episodes of the show filmed in Korea will be in the 21st season of the show which is planned to start in August.
